Lautaro Martínez and Joaquín Correa both scored for Inter in their 3-3 draw vs. Benfica.
Martínez and Correa were both on the scoresheet for Inter as they eliminated Benfica and qualified for the semi finals of the Champions League. With the score at 1-1, it was a pass into the penalty area by Dimarco and a first time finish by the Argentine gave Inter the 2-1 lead.
Correa would score his first goal in the Champions League this season a few minutes later. He would get the ball inside the penalty area and similar to Enzo’s goal for Argentina vs. Mexico, he would dribble beyond his marker and curl one passed the goalkeeper.
Benfica would go on and draw the match 3-3 but Inter would qualify with a 5-3 aggregate win.
Repeated Diego Milito and Zanetti winning the UCL under Jose Mourinho
This also means J Correa will not score again until around August? I mean based on his scoring history…
I noticed something about Joaquin Correa, he is more likely to score a goal when he has to dribble past opponents, as opposed to when he is wide open and receives a pass.
His goal has some resemblance to Enzo’s vs Mexico though Enzo’s was much better.
May be that’s the difference between a real no 9 and a SS or a winger.
