Argentina U20 coach Javier Mascherano has several players in mind for his starting eleven against Guatemala.
Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 national team started their U20 World Cup with a 2-1 win against Uzbeksitan and will now look to do the same in their second match. In a match that can potentially seal qualification for the next round, according to TyC Sports, Javier Mascherano has a doubt for the starting eleven.
Federico Gomes Gerth will remain as the goalkeeper in a back line that looks set to be unchanged from the first match. Agustín Giay, Lautaro Di Lollo, Valentín Gómez and Valentín Barco are all going to start.
In midfield, Máximo Perrone of Manchester City and as is goalscorer Valentín Carboni. Mateo Tanlongo of Sporting CF is expected to lose out with Federico Redondo starting in his place. And up front, Matías Soulé and Alejo Véliz start with one of Juan Carlo Gauto, Brian Aguirre or Luka Romero starting up front. This would be the eleven:
Federico Gomes Gerth; Agustín Giay, Lautaro Di Lollo, Valentín Gómez, Valentín Barco; Máximo Perrone, Federico Redondo, Valentín Carboni; Matías Soulé, Alejo Véliz and Juan Carlo Gauto or Brian Aguirre or Luka Romero.
The hosts presently lead Group A with 3 points along with New Zealand as both teams won their opening matches. Uzbekistan and Guatemala both have no points.
Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team play Guatemala on Tuesday at 6:00 pm local time.
