3. Read somewhere that the coaching staff is concerned that our pressing game is not working this time the way it did in the last World Cup.

   I think the concern needs to be framed differently. The question is not whether pressing as a system has stopped working—the bigger question is why some of our players are not executing that press with the same intensity and synchronization.

   Lautaro, Almada, and Enzo, in particular, have looked a step slower in triggering the press and closing spaces. In a system like Scaloni’s, even one or two passengers without the ball can break the entire structure.

   This needs to be fixed before the next game. The Cape Verde match was a warning sign and, frankly, a narrow escape. We have already seen some top teams suffer early exits because they allowed opponents too much time and comfort on the ball.

   At the same time, pressing cannot mean running blindly.      • Macallister is our most important player in the midfield the problem is with other midfielders. Macca was constantly breaking the opposition attack and tussling with them , he rarely lost the ball.

     • I would play barco depaul paredes or barco locelso paredes/palacios midfield.tagliafico in place of medina nico gonzalez or simeone in place of almada Alvarez in place of lautaro.i may try nico paz as well.
