Equi Fernández is close to joining Al Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia.
Fernández could be leaving Boca Juniors. According to César Luis Merlo, the Saudi club have improved their offer to Boca for Equi and are now offering $17,500,000 for the player but it would be in separate payments.
The value exceeds his exit clause of $15 million. The 22 year old already has a five year agreement with the club.
I blame Almada who set a horrible example for this generation. Now we have a Saudi fraud.
I blame Riquelme and Boca Junior. Equi Fernández badly wanted a move to Europe but the club screwed him rejected offers from Porto and Marseille. They didn’t have interest of the boy at heart. Riquelme as an Argentina legend should have known better but has ruined his career.
On the other hand it’s high time this young players start learning to say yes or no despite what their greedy agents want.
Agreed
Very sad indeed. Agents don’t care about their clients.
If I was his agent, “hold out, don’t go there, it will be bad for your career and development. You have a long career ahead of you and if you develop in Europe, the NT could be knocking at your door. I will even fight publicly for you to be called. Then we won’t accept low ball offers… In the meantime, let’s invest some money and secure your future and your loved ones in case things don’t work out the way we plan… again, I’m looking for your best interest”
Almada made the same decision. After having wasted 2 valuable years, now is when he is joining European club.
what a loss. Cant understand why a player cant say NO to such a suicidal move
Equi had personally rejected this offer twice and he wanted the OM move but Marseille couldn’t meet his release clause. Boca forced this move on Fernandez. Riquelme is running a circus show at Boca.
Shame.
Farewell, Equi..
I have high hopes the new aston villa boy Enzo Barrenechea He is kinda profile scaloni likes , I’m sure if he plays Regularly at villa it won’t be long before scaloni calls him
Bro, to be honest I am not sure, Scaloni seems to have moved away from deploying a purely defensive pivot and used Paredes, Enzo and Mac in that role. Barrenechea is an interesting prospect but he would have to be an excellent progressive passer of the ball as well to make an impression. Maybe he is, I am not sure, did not follow him closely…
Fair point, soon we will know how good he is since he is in the epl the most league watch in the world.
I believe he will have his chance too at villa since will be playing four different computation including the uefa champions league.
Lot of good talents prefer just money…Viega, veratti, neves and now this guy…good thing we have Varela
An offer can’t be rejected, Roshn Suadi League is a luxury in financial aspect, in the future hopefelly N/T coach will not closed the eyes on the talented playing there
Retirement League
National teams should most definitely close their doors to players who choose money over football and basic human decency.
