The Argentina national team have announced that Leonardo Balerdi will miss the World Cup.
Leonardo Balerdi got injured during Argentina’s training on Friday and the team announced that he suffered a muscle injury in the soleus of his right leg.
Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is set to call-up a replacement.

I was wondering if what people here think of the current Argentina Squad. No Acuna, no Echeverri, no Mastantuono, no Dybala. Is this team really OK – especially keeping in mind that there is no Angel Di Maria and that Messi is getting old and might not be able to play the whole game?
Also, no Garnacho. Although I am happy with the inclusion of Nico Paz.

Feeling bad for Balerdi. Now time to call Marcos Senesi. But I never seen such a huge number of injury to a national team.

I do not believe a left-footed center-back will be selected, as we currently have two such players. Logic suggests that a right-footed center-back, capable of playing on the left side, at right-back, or in a back three, would be a more suitable choice. My intuition suggests that LMQ will be chosen, a decision with which I respectfully disagree.
I want Capaldo over Senesi……we want a perfect RCB and it is Capaldo not Senesi also capaldo is versatile can play as midefielder and makeshift right back

Capaldo also plays as centreback in his clud….he is modern day Joshua Kimmich
No Senesi is perfect backup to lisandro Martinez. Otamedi and cuti romero are right footed.
pls no more Lucas Querta or Pezzala . Better taking nicolas capaldo if Senesi being a left footed is an issue.
I hate these arguments made against Senesi inclusion. He should have been in the first place selected for 26 man squad. Medina is a backup to Tagliafico. Therefore this argument of being LCB doesn’t make sense at all.
