Leonardo Balerdi is injured for at least two weeks and his participation at the World Cup will be decided.
Balerdi has a muscle injury and will miss Argentina’s friendly match against Honduras. According to Gastón Edul, it will take him at least 15 days to recover and Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will decide if he takes Balerdi to the World Cup or if he will call up a replacement.

Sad for Balerdi. I think Scaloni will inevitably call Senesi for this role.

Ah bad luck for balerdi if he misses out on this worldcup after having been selected for the squad.
I don’t know much about the injury stats of other potential candidate teams but seems like this Argentina squad is dogged with injuries. This might become vital as the competition will progress. If players are not fully recovered, we cannot take head on strong teams.
What’s going on with all these injuries…?
Marcos Senesi is much Better than Balerdi. This injury is an opportunity…. Good Luck Senesi.
Feeling sad for Balerdi. But I feel it doesn’t make sense to wait for 15 days at this point. I think Senesi would be called up and if Montiel is not fully fit, then Giyay would be the replacement.
Alternatively, maybe Capaldo and Giyay are the replacements for Balerdi and Montiel as Capaldo can be more versatile.
Lets see, some tough decisions ahead
