Argentina rumored to play in Rosario for World Cup qualifier

Argentina could play in Rosario for their World Cup qualifying match

Lionel Messi could be returning home to Rosario to play in Argentina’s final 2022 World Cup qualifying match. Per a report by TyC Sports, there has been some talk about the Argentina national team playing their final World Cup qualifying match at the Marcelo Bielsa stadium, home of Newell’s Old Boys.

If the decision is made to play the match in Rosario, it would be on March 23 against Venezuela. Along with Lionel Messi, it’s coach Lionel Scaloni and Walter Samuel, who is part of the Argentina coaching staff, which would be back in Rosario as the two are former Newell’s players.

  1. Acuna started the game as a CB. 20 mins later switched to left wing back, then switched to right wing back. He may play as a stricker in the remaining 10 mins lol.
