Alexis Mac Allister, Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez scored for Argnetina in their 3-1 win against Switzerland at the World Cup.
Argentina were awarded a corner kick and it was Lionel Messi who crossed the ball into the penalty area to Alexis Mac Allister who scored to give Argentina the 1-0 lead. Lionel Scaloni’s team controlled the ball for much of the game until Switzerland began to create goal scoring chances.
Dan Ndoye received the ball down the wing and scored to draw Switzerland level.
Nicolas Gonzalez was substituted out for Nicolas Tagliafico.
Minutes later, Leandro Paredes was given a yellow card but the referee reversed the decision and Breel Embolo was given his second yellow card of the match for simulation.
Lautaro Martinez and Gonzalo Montiel were substituted in for Rodrigo De Paul and Nahuel Molina.
Lionel Scaloni’s team substituted in Thiago Almada for Enzo Fernandez.
The match went to extra time and Lionel Scaloni would make two more substitutions. Nicolas Otamendi and Jose Manuel Lopez were substituted in for Cristian Romero and Leandro Paredes.
Jose Manuel Lopez received the ball and he passed it to Julian Alvarez. He would cut inside and score from outside of the penalty area to give Argentina the 2-1 lead.
Thiago Almada would start a counter attack for Argentina and his effort was saved by the goalkeeper but the rebound would fall to Lautaro Martinez who scored Argentina’s third goal of the match.
The Argentina national team will play England in the semi finals of the World Cup on Wednesday.
This is it….I think this team has recahed more than its potential…..there is no way we are Defeating England and in form Bellingham

Lets hear scaloni saying as usual, “that was a tough opponent” 😂 he is so in love with those midfielders that he ignore they were playing bad
And because the scoreboard reads 3-1, Scaloni will once again ask us the ignore the evidence of our eyes, and claim “I think we played really well, we got the result we wanted, we will keep using the same style” etc.
This underwhelming performance from our starting midfield is becoming a recurring pattern. Yet Scaloni continues to persist with the same combination, hoping it eventually clicks while the team keeps relying on individual brilliance and luck.
Luck favours the brave and i believe the one component that has been missing since the 1990 final is back to elevate the glory for Argentine football.
