Paulo DYBALA on Argentina and clubs: “I’ve always had to fight”

Paulo DYBALA has arrived in Argentina ahead of the team’s 23 final man squad announcement for the World Cup.

Upon his arrival, DYBALA was met by the media at the airport where he was questions about a few topics. From himself, to Inter man Mauro ICARDI to the support of the fans. Here’s what he had to say:

“It’s difficult, I’ve always had to fight at every club I have been at. I go and give it my all everytime I am counted on. Ever since you’re a kid, you dream about playing a World Cup. Hopefully it’ll be a big final. I haven’t spoken to Jorge SAMPAOLI about my position.”

Paulo DYBALA on Mauro ICARDI:

“He’s a great player, he showed it yesterday. He’s the top scorer in a league where it’s difficult to score. The decision belongs to the coach, I have a big friendship with him.”

Paulo DYBALA on the fans:

“The people have to support whoever is there. The most important thing for us is to feel that support. Whether I am chosen or not, I will be one of the biggest supporters for my team mates for them to bring the cup to the country.”

    • To say that Spain team frightening is over reacting to me .piquè was never a great defender and we all know Ramos is a accident waiting to happen so with that being said with Messi on our side we ain’t scared of no one yes no one. Spain is beatable i would rather face them before Germany anytime during the tournament .i can guarantee you if AGUERO start scoring we will be world champion mark my word

  5. As per Olé, Paulo Dybala, Cristian Pavón, Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero, Willy Caballero, Gabriel Mercado, Sergio Agüero, Javier Mascherano, Gio Lo Celso, Eduardo Salvio, Manuel Lanzini and Nicolás Tagliafico trained together today.

  6. 4 players should be dropped and it’s no brainer:

    Higuain
    Rojo
    Biglia
    Mascherano

    They are all either dead wood or huge liability. They will be 4 wasted spots right there.

Spain squad is unbelievable.that’s too tough to beat.I don’t know how can Argentina beat that side.Spain is too strong.they are the best in each and every position.I believe if Argentina can beat Spain in quarters then we will be the champions.Germany is not that strong this time around.I can’t rule out a group stage exit for Germany this time around.very ageing side will surely be out in semis at least.they will face Spain or Argentina whoever progress out of Spain and Argentina will smash this German side and their egos

    • Actually the most frightening squad is France. Yes Spain and Brazil second. These 3 teams will be hard to beat considering our fragile defence lineup.

      • No Spain toughest squad.France squad is good but not better than Spain.de gea(best goali) carvajal azpilicueta and alba 3 best fullback of the world.Ramos and pique among the best cb.iniesta David Silva isco thiago busquets asensio that’s best midfield in the world.only drawback is the forward line but there also Diego costa aspas can score goals.this is a frightening squad

    • I don’t think Spain forwards are the best. Midfield, defense & goalie is great though.
      Every team has some issues. Iniesta can end up being a baggage at knockout level.
      Even 2014 their squad was great in individual positions.

    • Messi & Di Maria can unsettle any defense. If we play Bigila, Lo celso, Meza and Lanzini, we can easily run over the likes of Don Andres (with due respect – he is my fav mid ever but aging), Busquets, Carjaval, Ramos. Spain lack speed. we must counter them hard and press all the time (except Messi). Carjaval is a weak link. I am more confident this time that we can handle Germany. Their Chemistry is not that great plus lot of young players. Again Semi-Final for them. Choose Between Brazil and France for our final. It’s our time.

  9. I think sampa will play messi and dybala together again…I hope it’s not as a last ditch effort to save a game.

  10. I watched the Lazio VS Inter game yesterday, Icardi is a good player but he is not as hardworking in terms of getting back and doing one two with others, he more of a poacher variety. I think in Sampaoli’s system he may not have a role because Aguero and Messi have that ability to do one two outside the box, Meza, Pavon, Dyballa, Centurian all have that. Icardi is a pure striker who needs to be fed and thats not Argentina’s style. As good as he has been this season I would not take him over others even Higuain for that matter. Icardi had a few easy chances-check the game against Peru and Ecuador, he missed those, had he scored a goal there it would have closed the door on Higuain. In any case I would support whatever team is chosen, none of us will get our 11 but the fact of the matter is-we need the team to support Messi and let him do his magic. IT WILL HAPPEN. VAMOS !

  13. Comment: we need icardi really we neef him… Cox aguiro still fighting for fitness and i dn’t understand wht sampoli mean by naming three lefters on to our defenders.. Wht of that ansaldi while there are rojo and tagalifico

  16. Dybala sounds very positive for the team. Great attitude shown by a young player. Give Aguero time till june 4th if he is not match fit then drop him and take Icardi. Why Sampaoli is declaring 23 today. Makes no sense. When all of your 35 players are not trained together at least for a week.

  17. They could play together but it s not that easy to play defensively with 7 / 11
    Messi don t run dybala aguero higuain too add to this the gk and biglia the useless they will get 3 from croatia if sampa continues to be that joking

  18. Penalty takers are very important in a tournament. Anytime after group stage we may be in a situation where a penalty shootout will decide the progress or even a cup.
    Who all are our best penalty takers…..?
    1. Messi
    2. Aguero
    3. Lanzini
    4. Dybala
    5. Perotti

    Other possibilities…Salvio, Banega, Higuain, Biglia, and Acuna…?
    How many of them will be in playing x1..?

    • Give it a rest, will you? Maradona put all players in the team and we know the results in 2010. 2014 Tevez was dropped and we managed to get to WC final. This is different era of football whereas tactics overcomes talents.

      • Strange to assume talent and tactics are mutually exclusive. If he had more time, he would make it work because that is by far the best partnership in attack any team could have.

        • We already have Messi aguero partnership which can be legendary after this wc but wc winners naturally have 1 brilliant midfielder what we lack mayb locelso can become one.remember Ronaldinho was also young in 2002 wc

    • if you want dybala and messi…. we need to have kante, vidal, or nangollan… type of players in midfield… thats why sampolli wont use them…. argentina dont have that kind of box to box midfielder… or dm….

      offensively great..but defensivel it will create lot of problems…. balence is important for a team…
