Mauro Icardi to sign permanent deal with PSG from Inter

Mauro Icardi will reportedly sign with PSG as the club have come to an agreement with Inter.

Per a report by Fabrizio Romano, Mauro Icardi will be joining PSG on a permanent deal. The deal will see PSG pay €50 million and €7 million in add ons to sign him.

Nicolas Gonzalez scores for Stuttgart in win vs. Hamburg

Nicolas Gonzalez scored for Stuttgart in their 3-2 win vs. Hamburg.

Gonzalez can’t stop scoring. He has now scored in all three games since the return of the second division in Germany. With Hamburg leading 2-1, Gonzalez took the penalty which was awarded for Stuttgart and he scored to draw them level.

He also had an assist on the third goal.

Chelsea linked with Nicolas Tagliafico of Ajax

Nicolas Tagliafico could be joining Chelsea in the summer.

Per a report by The Telegraph in the United Kingdom, Argentina’s Nicolas Tagliafico could be leaving Ajax. Per the report, Chelsea have been told that they could get Tagliafico for £22.4 million. Ben Chilwell of Leicester City is also apparently on the radar of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard but he has a price tag of over £40 million.

Still only 27 years old, Tagliafico has been linked with a move away from his current club with his agent even commenting on it all. The left back made the jump to Europe back in 2017 and has impressed several clubs since joining.

Lionel Messi spoke about the 2020 Copa America being suspended and playing behind closed doors.

Messi commented on once more having the opportunity to try and win a senior trophy with the Argentina national team. Speaking with Mindfulness Matters, here’s what he had to say:

“The Copa was going to be a big occasion for me this year and I was extremely emotional of having to compete once more. It was difficult when they suspended it but I understand it completely.”

Regarding the current world of football and having to play behind closed doors:

“The preparation as a group is the same as other matches. But individually, every person has to prepare and visualize playing without fans because it’s very weird.”

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni commented on Lautaro Martinez’s rumored move to Barcelona.

Lautaro Martinez has been linked to Barcelona for several months. Per many reports, the Argentine is close to finalizing a deal and would be joining fellow team mate Lionel Messi at Barcelona. Current Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni spoke to Radio La Red where he commented on it all. Here’s what he had to say:

“For me, I’d like for Lautaro Martinez to play, to have continuity. But he’s young and he’s going to win a spot because he’s always running for more.

“He will have to sacrifice and he will have to win his spot. If Lautaro ends up going to Barcelona, I believe the coach (Quique Setien) will find a way to get him as a starter.

Lionel Scaloni was part of the coaching staff for the 2018 World Cup and he commented on why Lautaro was not selected:

“The Lautaro Martinez before Russia was not the one we have now. He has grown a lot. Today, he’s much more of a player. Just as much, he was in consideration until the last moment.”
