Ezequiel Lavezzi has announced his retirement.

A long time servant of the Argentina team, Ezequiel Lavezzi has announced his retirement from football. Lavezzi was an integral part of the Argentina squad which blitzed through the 2014 qualifiers.

As part of that squad, Lavezzi started the final of the 2014 World Cup where he was arguably Argentina’s beset player.

For his club, Lavezzi started with Estudiantes back in 2003 before joining San Lorenzo. He would make the jump to Europe with Napoli where he would become a fan favorite.

After that he would go on to France to play with PSG before retiring in China with Hebei Fortune.

Lucas Martinez Quarta could be joining Inter.

Per a report by TyC Sports, Javier Zanetti is presently holding talks with Quarta’s agent in hopes of signing the player. Quarta has a release clause of $22 million.

Lionel Messi has been named as statistically the best playmaker in the world.

Messi can do it all. He can pass, dribble, score, cross, assist. His accomplishments continue to grow and he can add one more accolade to his list.

Per a report by IFFHS, Lionel Messi is statistically the best playmaker in the world. Far ahead of number two, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Messi finished first with 299 points while De Bruyne had 85 points.

Joaquin Correa scored for Lazio in their 1-0 win vs. Cluj.

Correa scored the only goal of the match to give Lazio the victory. The goal was his first in the Europa League.

Exequiel Palacios set to join Bayer Leverkusen

Exequiel Palacios will reportedly join Bayer Leverkusen.

Per a report by Cesar Luis Merlo of TyC Sports, Leverkusen executives are in contact with those from River Plate. An offer of €13 million has been made and he would be joining in January.

Palacios would be the second Argentine at the club as he would join Lucas Alario.
