Sergio AGUERO winner sends Manchester City to FA Cup semi-finals

0

Sergio AGUERO scored for Manchester City in their 3-2 win against Swansea to send them to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Swansea took a 2-0 advantage and looked to be eliminating Manchester City from the competition until Bernardo SILVA scored City’s first goal off a Sergio AGUERO assist. City’s all time leading scorer made it 2-2 off a penalty. His shot hit the post, deflected off the goalkeeper and in to draw City level.

AGUERO would make it 3-2 and score the winner off a headed goal but not without controversy. His goal would stand despite being offside.

Manchester City coach Pep GUARDIOLA had this to say about AGUERO after the match:

“I asked him: ‘Please train a little bit in this week off, don’t drop your physical condition’ because now he is in incredible top form.”

Angel DI MARIA: “Hopefully I can win something with Argentina”

2

Angel DI MARIA gave an interview with Libero where he discussed the Argentina national team, wanting to win something and more.

The Argentine is back with his national team for the matches against Venezuela and Morocco and he has said he would also like to be included in the Copa America squad. Speaking with Libero, here’s what he had to say:

“I always wanted to be (in the Argentina team), I always wanted to stay with the group. Now I have the chance and I want to fight back, to fight and to do my best. Hopefully I get the opportunity to win something once and for all with the Argentina national team.

“Wearing the Argentina national team shirt leads me to return, despite the critics. There’s nothing else. Wearing this shirt is the maximum for a player. Here, one plays in the Champions League, you play with the best, every day you’re surrounded by the best but when one goes to his national team, it’s something different. It’s something I can never finish explaining.

“The only thing that drives me towards fighting for this dream is wearing this shirt and every time feeling the responsibility.”

On if there’s a negative outcome for Argentina at this year’s Copa America.

“Everytime you lose, they kill you. When things don’t go right, we are the first one’s to fall. And you already know it, you already have it in your head.”

Cesar Luis MENOTTI says he wouldn’t include Lionel MESSI, Sergio AGUERO in Argentina team

General manager of the Argentina national teams Cesar Luis MENOTTI spoke about Lionel MESSI, Sergio AGUERO and more.

The man who won Argentina their first FIFA World Cup commented on the reasons why he wouldn’t have called-up Lionel MESSI and Sergio AGUERO. Speaking to TyC Sports, here’s what he had to say:

“Personally, I don’t believe it was the time (to call-up) Kun (AGUERO) and same for MESSI. I wouldn’t have called-up MESSI. And the same goes for Kun. They’re playing in difficult moments, with their calendars and cup matches.”

Cesar Luis MENOTTI argues that he would rather try different players.

“I’ll argue that in this game, there’s no much analysis to be done (about AGUERO) because it’s already been done and we want to try out BENEDETTO, as an example, just to say a name.”

About not including Sergio AGUERO in the Argentina team.

“It’s a decision which I talked to the coach about. We do not need to try AGUERO, we all know how he plays and we have to try out others. No one knows AGUERO more than me, when I compared him with ROMARIO they laughed at me.

“You guys (the journalists) are incredible. When he (Sergio AGUERO) is called-up, you don’t want him. And when he’s not here, you ask for him, haha. People are people but the journalists have more responsibilities.”
