Emiliano Martinez has signed a four year deal with Aston Villa.

Per several reports, Martinez is now the most expensive Argentine goalkeeper in history as his transfer of £20 million has gone through. The former Arsenal goalkeeper signs for four years with Aston Villa.

Only 28 years old, Martinez impressed at the tail end of last season when he started several matches for Arsenal. Winning the FA Cup and Community Shield, Martinez stated that he would like to remain the number one goalkeeper for Arsenal or move to a new club.

Emiliano Martinez will reportedly leave Arsenal and join Aston Villa.

Per a report by Sky Sports, Arsenal have accepted a bid of £16 million for Martinez. The fee would be of £16 million with it potentially going up to £20 million. He is expected to undergo a medical this weekend and agree to personal terms.

After being signed 8 years with the club, Martinez, now 28, would become the most expensive Argentine goalkeeper.

Marcos Acuña could be on his way out of Portugal as reports are linking him to Sevilla.

Still only 28 years old, Acuña has been with Sporting for the past three years and he could be joining the Europa League winners. Per a report by Al Bola, the transfer would be of €10 million. In addition, Marca report that the deal would also include two million in add ons with him signing a four year contract.

Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly left Juventus and will be joining Inter Miami in the United States.

Higuain, who spent the past 13 seasons in Europe, will finally be going back to the America’s but to the north. Per Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine has reached an agreement to leave Juventus and is in advanced talks with David Beckham’s Inter Miami team.

Inter Miami head coach Diego Alonso spoke at a press conference on Friday about Higuain’s arrival at the club. Here’s what he had to say:

“Gonzalo Higuain is in Florida, doing his medical exam. It’s in the final stage of negotiations, we hope we can close this agreement and he can be with us soon.”
