Cardiff City close to finalizing transfer of Argentine striker Emiliano SALA

Cardiff City are reportedly very close to signing Argentine striker Emiliano SALA.

A potential club-record £20 million move could be in the making as the FC Nantes forward is in South Wales for talks which involve a possible medical. A tweet by Sky Sports is linking SALA to the club.

Only Kylian MBAPPE, who has 13 goals, has scored more goals from open play than SALA (who has 10) in Ligue 1 this season.

Cesar Luis MENOTTI named as director of Argentina National Teams

World Cup winning coach with the Argentina National Team, Cesar Luis MENOTTI has been named as the director of the Argentina National Teams.

The official AFA, Argentina Twitter account announced on Monday that as of February 1, MENOTTI would take over as director.

Lautaro MARTINEZ scored twice while Mauro ICARDI got on the scoresheet in Inter’s 6-2 win against Benevento.

Inter captain Mauro ICARDI scored off a penalty kick in the third minute. With the score at 3-0 for Inter, Lautaro MARTINEZ got his first of the match, a jumping header just three minutes into the second half.

MARTINEZ’s second was a well worked team goal. The former Racing man received the ball inside the penalty area and fired home a low shot.

MESSI, who was already La Liga’s highest ever goal scorer, continued to add to his tally. It was his 400th goal in 435 league matches.

The official Argentina Twitter account has tweeted out that due to a knee injury, Agustin ALMENDRA of Boca Juniors has been ruled out of the South American Youth tournament. His replacement is Racing’s Julian LOPEZ.
