Argentina national team man Joaquin CORREA scored for Lazio in their 3-0 win against Sampdoria.

Joaquin CORREA, who was called-up to the Argentina team last week, has shown just why he is back in the squad. CORREA was left unmarked in the penalty area and with a lovely right footed finish made it 2-0 for Lazio.

CORREA has one goal in three matches for Argentina and will look to add to his tally when the team plays against Mexico and Chile next month.

Cristian PAVON scores first MLS goal for LA Galaxy in 3-3 draw

Cristian PAVON scored his debut goal in MLS for the LA Galaxy in their 3-3 draw against LA FC.

It was a match to remember for the former Boca Juniors man. He assisted Zlatan IBRAHIMOVIC after just 1:46 seconds on the clock following a lovely little run and scored a goal which had given the LA Galaxy a 3-1 lead.

PAVON ran in between two defenders before passing the ball to IBRAHIMOVIC to open the scoring. On his goal, PAVON received the ball on the right side of the penalty area, cut inside and his shot beat the goalkeeper for his first goal in MLS.

 

Lucas ALARIO of Bayer Leverkusen called to Argentina team

Bayern Leverkusen striker Lucas ALARIO has been called-up to the Argentina national team.

Argentina coach Lionel SCALONI has added one more name to the list of players who will take on Chile and Mexico in friendly matches next month. The former River Plate man has received his first call-up in well over a year.

Lucas ALARIO finished last season with 9 goals in 27 matches in the Bundesliga, 4 goals in 7 matches in the Europa League. For Argentina, he has scored once in three matches.

Sergio AGUERO double wins it for Manchester City, reaches 400 goals

Sergio AGUERO scored twice for Manchester City in their 3-1 win against Bournemouth.

The Manchester City man’s double took him to 400 career goals for club and country. AGUERO opened the scoring early in the first half with a shot from close range.

Bournemouth would draw level and City would take the lead once more through Raheem STERLING.

AGUERO would double City’s lead after some lovely work from David SILVA. Sergio has now broken into the top 5 list of players with most away goals in Premier League history.

Facundo FERREYRA, Matias VARGAS score in Espanyol win

Facundo FERREYRA and Matias VARGAS both scored for Espanyol in their 3-1 win against Zorya in the Europa League.

Both Argentine players scored in the first leg of their Europa League tie against their Ukranian opponents. Zorya took the lead in the first half but Facundo FERREYRA drew the Catalan club level. He headed the ball in from close range.

Former Velez man Matias VARGAS came on as a substitute and scored just 10 minutes later. He received the ball inside the penalty area, cut to his right and his shot went to the goalkeepers left and into the net.
