Argentine players Sebastian DRIUSSI, Ignacio PUSSETTO wanted by Italy

The Argentine duo of Sebastian DRIUSSI and Ignacio PUSSETTO are reportedly wanted by the Italian national team.

Per reports, current Italy national team manager Roberto MANCINI wants the two players to represent Italy at the senior level. DRIUSSI, presently 22 years old and at Zenit, has represented Argentina at youth level.

PUSSETTO, previously of Hyracan, is currently at Udinese. He is also 22 years old.

Paulo DYBALA on Argentina coach: “We want SCALONI to continue”

The Argentina and Juventus forward gave his thoughts on coach Lionel SCALONI following the team’s 2-0 victory against Mexico.

Speaking after the match, here’s what DYBALA had to say:

“Obviously we want SCALONI to continue. He is working really well and we would like for him to continue but it is not our decision.

“There’s a great group being formed and we are all pushing forward and we believe that with the help of SCALONI, a coach that gives us a lot of liberty, we would be able to continue this way.”

The 25 year old has yet to find a goal for Argentina and will look to finally scoring one in the second match against Mexico.

Juan FOYTH of Tottenham named Man of the Match for Argentina

The young defender was named Man of the Match in Argentina’s 2-0 win against Mexico on Friday.

Juan FOYTH, who started alongside goal scorer Ramiro FUNES MORI and captain Nicolas TAGLIAFICO, was awarded the trophy. Speaking after the match, here’s what the Tottenham man had to say:

“It’s always beautiful to represent Argentina and I’m leaving happy with the win. There’s a great group, we are enjoying it here and we’re doing well. The team did a great job.”

FOYTH collided with team mate Walter KANNEMAN in training prior to the victory and received six stitches but was still started the match. Argentina will play Mexico once more on Tuesday night.

Ramiro FUNES MORI scored the opening goal for Argentina in their 2-0 win against Mexico.

Lionel SCALONI’s team got the win but it wasn’t easy. Goalkeeper Agustin MARCHESIN pulled off two great saves in the opening two minutes of the match. After that, despite a few defensive mistakes, the team kept possession of the ball and created several goal scoring chances.

The first goal of the match came through a Ramiro FUNES MORI header. A free kick sent in found the head of FUNES MORI as the Villarreal man scored right before half time to give Argentina the lead.

The second goal looked destined to be Mauro ICARDI’s first for his country but an own goal by BRIZUELA stole it from ICARDI. A low cross sent in by SARAVIA was going towards ICARDI but it got to BRIZUELA who tapped it in.
