Argentina team, fixtures announced for COTIF L’Alcudia tournament

The Argentina team has been announced, as well as their fixtures for the COTIF L’Alcudia tournament.

Champions from last year, Argentina will be participating once more in the tournament which is being held in Spain. Coach Esteban SOLARI will look to follow in Lionel SCALONI’s footsteps from last year and lift the trophy. Here are Argentina’s fixtures for the tournament:

August 8 is the final.

Lionel MESSI could face up to six month Argentina suspension

Lionel MESSI could be suspended for up to six month as CONMEBOL is still evaluating his case.

Per a report by TyC Sports, CONMEBOL could suspend MESSI anywhere from 60 days to six months. The suspension would be due to his comments made after the Copa America where the Argentina captain accused them of corruption. He has already received a one match suspension and a financial fine due to his red card against Chile.

Report: Tottenham make contact with Juventus for Paulo DYBALA

Tottenham have reportedly made contact with Juventus over signing Paulo DYBALA.

In what would be the transfer of the summer, reports out of England state that Mauricio POCHETTINO’s Tottenham have made contact and want to sign DYBALA from Juventus. According to both Football London and Evening Standard, Juventus have been approached and DYBALA is valued at £80 million.

Still only 25 years old, DYBALA did not enjoy the best of seasons with Juventus but performed well and even scored for Argentina at the Copa America.

As we also reported a few days ago, Tottenham are also being linked with another Argentine, Gio LO CELSO of Real Betis.

Lionel MESSI suspended one match for Argentina, plus fined

Lionel MESSI has been suspended for one match for Argentina while receiving a fine.

The Argentina captain made headlines following his team’s matches against Brazil and Chile at the Copa America. MESSI accused the referee’s and CONMEBOL of favortism while stating that they didn’t respect Argentina.

There were rumors that MESSI would receive a two match ban and a hefty fine for his comments. It now appears as though MESSI will receive a one match ban and a $1500 US fine due to his red card against Chile. MESSI would sit out Argentina’s first World Cup qualifying match as part of the suspension.

MESSI could still get suspended or fined even more due to other pending cases against him due to his comments at the Copa America.

Report: Angel CORREA agreement reached with AC Milan

An agreement has reportedly been reached for Angel CORREA to leave Atletico Madrid and join AC Milan.

Per a report by DI MARZIO, the deal between the two is very close to being completed and it would be for €50 million. According to the report, a Milan representative was in Spain on Sunday to finalize the deal.
