Edgardo BAUZA reveals who his number 9 will be

Edgardo BAUZA loves to talk and this time, he revealed who his starting number 9 will be.

As Argentina prepare to take on Peru this week in the South American World Cup Qualifiers, there were question marks as to who the starting striker will be. Gonzalo HIGUAIN, Lucas PRATTO or Lucas ALARIO. Speaking with TyC Sports, BAUZA revealed who it would be. Here’s what he had to say:

“If he’s well, the number 9 will be HIGUAIN.”

About AGUERO:
“Playing a bit behind (the number 9), he can have a great match. In place of MESSI, it could be DYBALA or Angel CORREA. I’ll decide once I see them.”

“I’ll see how KRANEVITTER is and if he’ll start with MASCHERANO in the midfield. KRANEVITTER isn’t the same as BANEGA, but tactically speaking, they’re similar. Peru attacks with a lot of bodies and Argentina will have to be well organized.”

Talking about the famous list of 60 players:
“I’m paying attention to all the players. There’s a lot of them playing at a very good level. We have a list of 60 players we are following. There’s players doing really well at the moment, like ACUNA and BELLUSCHI and we are following them.”

Edgardo BAUZA on Mauro ICARDI: “There’s no problem”

Edgardo BAUZA took to the press once again to discuss the team.

In what seems to be a weekly basis, Edgardo BAUZA has once again commented on Mauro ICARDI and the team. Here’s what he had to say:

“I can assure you that I spoke with the leaders and there’s no problem whatsoever. My only priority is the team and the National Team. A player who’s here and creates a problem or has something against the team, there wouldn’t be a need to tell me. I’ll drop them from the team because that’s the priority”.

“I’ve called-up HIGUAIN because of what he’s done and PRATTO because I know him very well.”

About ALARIO:
“In my opinion, he’s the future of the National Team. I want him to practice, to be here, to talk with the guys, that he feels like a player of the National Team. I feel like he still has a lot to grow.”
