Belgrano won 3-2 against River Plate to become Argentine league champions.

The club from Córdoba are Apertura champions for the first time after a 3-2 win against River Plate. With the score at 0-0, Facundo Colidio gave River Plate the 1-0 lead before Leonardo Morales drew Belgrano level.

Tomás Galván would give River Plate the 2-1 lead. In the 84th minute, Belgrano were awarded a penalty kick. Nicolás Fernández would take it and score Belgrano’s second goal of the match.

Three minutes later, Nicolás Fernández would score once more to give Belgrano the 3-2 win. It is the first time Belgrano are league champions in the first division in Argentina.

Lionel Scaloni has some injuries to the team and he could be taking one more defender to the team. According to Gastón Edul, Lionel Scaloni is leaning towards taking nine defenders to the World Cup instead of eight because of the growing number of injuries to defenders.

Cristian Romero is presently out with an injury while Gonzalo Montiel also has fitness issues.

Martínez suffered a dislocated finger during Aston Villa’s warm-up in their Europa League final win. The Argentine played the match with a dislocated finger. According to TN Deportivo, his recovery would be about 20 days.
