Ángel Di María trained with the Argentina national team on Wednesday and spoke to the media afterwards.

Di María is the Argentina hero, the player for the big games and the finals. A goal scorer in the Copa America, Finalissima and World Cup finals, there is nothing that he hasn’t done in world football. And now the World Cup winner is in Argentina for the team’s match against Panama on Thursday. Speaking to the media after the training, here is what he had to say:

“I am very happy. The joy of being world champion is something that we enjoy every day and to see how the people are is something very special.

“It’s crazy what people are doing, what happened with Leo the other day at the restaurant… The people are very happy and we have to enjoy it. Let’s hope that tomorrow will be a beautiful day, that people come in calmly and that it’s a nice celebration, that nothing serious will happen.

“Every time I come here, it’s a great joy. Every moment fills your heart, it is the most beautiful place you can be in.

“The first thing is to win tomorrow and to continue on the same path. One stage is over and now we have the World Cup qualifiers and after that the Copa America, which is what we are aiming at.”

Rodrigo De Paul: “We are not satisfied and we are going for more”

Rodrigo De Paul spoke to the media after Argentina’s traning session on Tuesday and he has stated that the team is going for more.

De Paul is one of the players that has been there since the first day for coach Lionel Scaloni. He had the assist which started it all in the Copa America final and now a winner of the Copa America, Finalissima and the World Cup, De Paul is not done. Speaking to the media, here is what he had to say:

“We have to set an example to the younger ones that we are not satisfied and that we are going for more. The World Cup isn’t taken away by anyone but another stage begins to prepare for the Copa America and the World Cup qualifiers.”

The World Cup winner had this to say about Argentina’s match against Panama on Thursday:

“I’m a little anxious. It’s not a match with that much relevance but I’m giving it a lot more value than others or at least that is what it generates in me. I’m going to try to enjoy it from early on and also to pass it on to the fans.

“I remember my first match and being here today with the Copa America, Finalissima and World Cup is crazy. The love from the whole country and the people crying is incredible. Tomorrow will cause me to be emotional, how the Monumental will be.”

Alexis Mac Allister spoke with the media after Argentina’s training session on Wednesday.

The Argentina national team trained on Wednesday afternoon and some of the players spoke to the media afterwards. Alexis Mac Allister, who had an assist in the World Cup final, commented on the joy of winning the World Cup. Speaking about the support of the fans, here is what he had to say:

“Nothing surprises me, we know the craziness and the happiness of the Argentine people for what we have achieved. We live it the same way, it’s very important how they support us.

“Like Leo (Messi) when he came out with that smile, we do the same when it is our turn to be with the people. We don’t talk but we know that it will be a very important day as it was the day on the bus. We are looking forward to celebrating like the day on the bus.

“Sometimes I can’t believe that I am but when I’m in a bad mood, I remember that I’m a World champion and it goes away. Thanks to this World Cup, we are going to be part of history. We enjoyed it a lot and tomorrow I hope it will be like that with the people.”

The Argentina national team trained on Wednesday for the last time before their match against Panama on Thursday.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had his team training and while there was no formal eleven, the World Cup winning coach had his team into different groups.

Lionel Scaloni’s first team had Emiliano Dibu Martínez, Gonzalo Montiel, Nehuén Pérez, Nicolás Otamendi, Nicolás Tagliafico; Enzo Fernández, Nicolás González, Rodrigo De Paul; Máximo Perrone, Julián Álvarez and Lionel Messi.

Scaloni’s team had ten players with Franco Armani, Juan Foyth, Guido Rodríguez, Lisandro Martínez, Marcos Acuña, Ángel Di María, Emiliano Buendía, Leandro Paredes, Ángel Correa and Giovanni Simeone.

Scaloni is not expected to mane any changes from the starting eleven which won the World Cup. Here are the eleven World Cup winners that are expected to start the match against Panama:

Argentina national team to train with River Plate on Friday

The Argentina national team will train River Plate on Friday.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will have an opportunity to test out players on Friday in a training with River Plate. It will involve Argentina players who would not have played against Panama on Thursday.

River Plate are currently coached by former Argentina, Bayern Munich and Manchester City player Martín Demichelis. One of River Plate’s youth players, Claudio Echeverri trained with the Argentina team on Tuesday.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play their first match as World Cup champions on Thursday against Panama and a second match on March 28 against Curaçao.
