Kylian Mbappe was back playing and scoring for Paris Saint-Germain as he spoke about Lionel Messi after the match.

Mbappe scored three goals for France in the World Cup final vs. Argentina but it was Lionel Messi who lifted the trophy. Mbappe scored for PSG in their 2-1 win vs. Strasbourg and had this to say to the media about Lionel Messi, Emiliano Martinez and the World Cup:

“I spoke with him a little after the match, I congratulated him. It was the quest of his life and for me as well but I failed. You always have to be a good player. And the celebrations are not my problem, I don’t waste energy on such futile things.”

Juventus is interested in signing Alexis Mac Allister, according to the Italian media. They join Chelsea, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid in their interest in the World Cup winner, as stated in previous reports.

La Gazzetta dello Sport’s cover of this Wednesday affirms that Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri, “wants Mac Allister” for his team, as an alternative to the American Weston McKennie, who would not be taken into consideration.

A move out of Brighton for Mac Allister is most likely to happen in June of 2023 rather than during the current transfer market. In case he goes to Juventus, he would play alongside two of his Argentina teammates: Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes.

AFA want to organize matches to celebrate Argentina national team

The AFA want to organise matches in 2023 to celebrate the Argentina national team winning the World Cup.

It’s been 36 years since Argentina last won the World Cup and now that the trophy is in Argentina and the celebrations have slowly started to die down, the AFA are looking to have a few friendly matches to continue the celebrations. AFA president Claudio Tapia spoke at a press conference about their plans for the matches. Here is what he had to say:

“Now we will try to look at the calendar for next year and we want these guys to get the recognition that they deserve. And best that it is played in Argentina. We will see when FIFA will confirm their fixture lists but we want to play in our country before playing away.”

FIFA have yet to confirm matches for next year, specifically when the World Cup qualifiers will begin. If they will start in March, June or possibly even in September.
