Alejo Véliz from Tottenham will be “out for a couple of months” due to a knee injury.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou shared an update on the Argentine striker’s injury in the pre-game conference before facing Burnley:

“Last week, unfortunately, Alejo suffered a fairly significant injury. He had scans after the game, and it’ll probably keep him out for a couple of months. He won’t need surgery, but he’s suffered ligament damage.”

According to the local media, Véliz would have suffered a torn ligament in his right knee from a knock in the last game vs. Bournemouth.

The Tottenham coach added the following:

“Disappointed for him because he’s worked hard to get an opportunity in the last couple of weeks and has been growing into it so really disappointed for him.”
