Argentina’s U-20 national team closed out the group stage of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025 with a 1-0 win over Italy at the Bicentenario ElÃas Figueroa Stadium in ValparaÃso.
The decisive goal came from right-back Dylan Gorosito, who displayed both skill and composure on the play. After a great dribble down the right side, the Boca Juniors man beat his marker and struck powerfully to score the winning goal for Diego Placente’s team.
Argentina had already secured qualification for the Round of 16 before the match, but the win confirmed La Albiceleste as Group D winners with a perfect record.
Placente’s side will now wait for the conclusion of the group stage to learn their Round of 16 opponent, which will be one of the best third-placed teams in the tournament.
