David Beckham: “I love Messi for many different reasons”

David Beckham spoke about his admiration for Lionel Messi in a recent interview.

Beckham played one of his final matches against Lionel Messi when he was with PSG and Messi was still with FC Barcelona. However, like many past and present football players, the global icon is a fan of the World Cup winner.

In an interview with SportsCenter, Beckham was asked about which player he admires watching these days. Here was his response:

“It has to be Messi. I love Leo, for many different reasons. I love him because he’s a great father, a great personality, a character, he’s a great person, but I think what everybody loves about him is the way he plays the game. He plays the game with passion, he plays the game just free. You know, the way he plays and I think this past World Cup, again, you know I think he played for his team, his country. To win that World Cup was an incredible moment for him and I love watching players like him.”

Adolfo Gaich has joined Hellas Verona on loan from CSKA Moscow.

Gaich is back playing in Italy, this time at Hellas Verona. As we reported lastm onth, Verona were interested in signing the 23 year old striker with talks about a transfer happening.

The striker joins them on loan until the end of the season, having previously played on loan at Huesca in Spain and Benevento in Italy.

Lionel Messi scored for PSG in their 3-1 win vs. Montpellier.

Messi reached 14 goals in the season for PSG, with nine of them coming in the league. The Argentine made it 2-0 for PSG following a through ball in by Fabian Ruiz.

The Argentine would get the ball inside the penalty area and with the goalkeeper in front of him, would go to the goalkeeper’s left and score.

He had scored in the first half but it was rightfully called for offside. Messi also has 14 assists to go with his 14 goals.

Enzo Fernández to wear number 5 at Chelsea, speaks on transfer

Enzo Fernández will wear the number five shirt at Chelsea as he spoke about his transfer to the club.

Fernández to Chelsea from Benfica has been confirmed by the club itself. Chelsea posted several tweets on their Twitter account and even on their Instagram about the Argentine and it is now official.

Chelsea have put up a picture of Enzo with the number five shirt. And Speaking about his transfer on Chelsea’s website, here is what the World Cup winner had to say:

“I am grateful to Chelsea and its ownership for doing everything they could to make me a part of this project. I’m happy and excited to join the Pride of London, to play in the best league in the world and to compete for the biggest trophies. I can’t wait to play in front of our fans and help my teammates on and off the pitch.”

The winner of the Best Young Player of the 2022 World Cup, Enzo has signed with them until the summer of 2031, a transfer of €120 million.

Mauro Icardi scored twice for Galatasaray in their 3-2 win vs. Umraniye.

Icardi has reached eight goals and five assists in 11 league matches for Galatasaray as the Argentine has been in great form. Having scored two goals in January, the Argentine scored two goals in February.

With Umraniye leading 1-0, Galatasaray were awarded a penalty kick and it was Icardi who took it. He would score the penalty using a panenka to draw Galatasaray level.

The 29 year old would draw Galatasaray level once more, this time a cross into the penalty area and he would score off a header.
