Lionel Messi will arrive to Argentina’s World Cup camp on Monday.

Messi will be with PSG for their league game against Auxerre on Sunday but will fly out to Abu Dhabi after the game. The Argentina national team are in Abu Dhabi for Monday’s game against United Arab Emirates.

The Argentine is set to arrive to Abu Dhabi on Monday morning. Argentina national team players have started to arrive with Franco Armani flying out earlier that week with the coaching staff.

Germán Pezzella and Guido Rodríguez also joined the team on Friday.

Lionel Messi spoke about the Argentina national team and the World Cup.

Messi will be taking part in his fifth World Cup with the Argentina national team. He spoke in an interview with Ole about the team. Here is what he had to say:

“This group got stronger since losing the 2019 semi final of the Copa America vs. Brazil. And from there, everything that has been generated has been generated.

“There are a lot of similarities between this current group and the one from 2014. The group and the mental strength, I think is very important.

“Although we have a big dream, we are also realistic and realize that we are in a good moment. At the same time, we have to know that it’s the World Cup and it’s very difficult.”

Regarding the lessons he learned from the previous World Cups:

“The first time I was very young. I had fun and at the same time had the innocence and the anger of wanting to play. On the one hand, that’s fine but on the other hand I missed out on enjoying many things because I was thinking about it.

“And at the 2014 World Cup, where we performed very well, which was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed it a lot and where it became clear to me more than ever that the main and most important thing is to be a strong and united group. This, in the long run, will lead you to the important goal.”

In regards to World Cups:

“At World Cups, there are always things that happen that you don’t imagine. Every detail is important and any detail at the same time can leave you out of the tournament. We should treat the first game and the last game the same way. This is a group that always does that and no matter what the match is, they play with the same intensity and focus and I think that’s very important.”

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has named his team for the 2022 World Cup and there are four players who did not make the team but are reserves.

The 26 players have been named for the 2022 World Cup. Lionel Scaloni has not included and surprises but Juan Musso, Facundo Medina, Thiago Almada and Ángel Correa are all reserves for the team. Here are the names for the World Cup:

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has announced the team for the 2022 World Cup.

Lionel Scaloni made the announcement on Twitter, releasing a video as he named the 26 players which will be at the 2022 World Cup for Argentina. The announcement was set for Monday but was was announced on Friday.

Paulo Dybala makes the team for Argentina and as does Juan Foyth. Both players were struggling with injuries and fitness issues.

Joaquín Correa is in the Argentina team as Ángel Correa does not make the list. It was reported that it was between the two Correa’s and Joaquin was ultimately included.

Franco Armani is presently with the Argentina national team with most of the players arriving on Saturday and Sunday. Argentina play the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.
