Nicolás Pareja is set to join Jorge Sampaoli’s coaching staff at Sevilla.

Pareja will start his coaching career with Jorge Sampaoli. According to several reports out of Spain, with Julen Lopetegui no longer coaching Sevilla, it will be Sampaoli coaching the club.

Jorge Sampaoli previously coached Sevilla in 2016-2017 before he took over the Argentina national team. And per the reports, Pareja will be joining him.

The now retired Nicolás Pareja previously played at Sevilla for five years. He won Olympic gold with Argentina in 2008 in Beijing.

PSG coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Lionel Messi is not injured.

Lionel Messi scored for PSG in their 1-1 draw vs. Benfica but was also substituted out. As soon as he was substituted out, fans began to worry as he appeared to be with the PSG medical staff.

Christophe Galtier put all fears to bed following the game. The PSG coach spoke to RMC Sport about Messi’s substitution. Here is what he had to say:

“He gestured saying he wanted to be substituted. On the last play, he felt tired. He came out because he was tired and a fresh team mate was a lot more interesting at the moment.”

Di María provided the three assists for the three goals for Juventus in their 3-1 win vs. Maccabi Haifa. The Argentine played a great through ball for Adrien Rabiot who scored to give Juventus the 1-0 lead.

His second assist was another through ball, this time to Dusan Vlahovic who scored. Di María’s third assist was yet another through ball, once more to Rabiot.

With his three assists for Juventus, he moves ahead of Lionel Messi in the Champions League assists. He only needs four more to be the player with the most assists in Champions League history.

Lionel Messi scored for PSG in their 1-1 draw vs. Benfica

Messi has now scored in his last six games. He has eight goals in his last six games for PSG and the Argentina national team.

With the score at 0-0, it was a great team goal by PSG with Messi scoring from the edge of the penalty area, placing the ball into the top corner to give PSG the 1-0 lead.

The Argentine scored vs. Maccabi Haifa and Lyon before scoring two goals against Honduras and two against Jamaica with Argentina.

He would score against OGC Nice and now with Benfica with PSG. He now has two goals and one assist in the Champions League.

With his goal against Benfica, he has now scored against 40 different teams in the Champions League. A record which was previously held by himself.

An alarm bell went off as he was substituted off for PSG. Unofficial reports are that he may have some discomfort.
