Argentina national team to arrive on Monday, Lionel Messi on Tuesday

The Argentina national team players will arrive to Argentina on Monday as Lionel Messi, Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria will arrive on Tuesday.

Lionel Messi along with Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria will arrive on Tuesday with Messi having an extra day to recover from the flu. According to Gastón Edul, that is currently what is set.

Argentina have two World Cup qualifying matches in March. The first on March 25 against Venezuela with the second on March 29 against Ecuador.

Lisandro Martínez is injured and will miss Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers.

Martínez will miss both of Argentina’s matches as he has suffered a muscle injury. According to Gastón Edul, the defender suffered a muscle injury during their match against Feyenoord and will not play in the two matches.

Argentina will be without Cristian Romero as he is suspended for the matches against Venezuela and Ecuador. Lisandro had started Argentina’s last two matches in the qualifiers and was expected to play with the absence of Romero.

Martínez was unable to complete the match for Ajax as he was taken out at the end of the match. With Ajax leading 3-2, the 24 year old was replaced by Perr Schuurs. According to TNT Sports, the substitution was injury related.

In the match against Ajax, per Argentidata, Lisandro had 14 recoveries, 12 interceptions, completed four out of four tackles and had six long balls, the most out of any Ajax player. He was second with clearances with three and also in passes completed with 68 of them.

The Argentine has a good chance of starting for Argentina against Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers after starting their last two matches. Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur is suspended for the matches against Venezuela and Ecuador as Martínez is being expected to start.

Paulo Dybala scored for Juventus in a 2-0 win vs. Salernitana.

Dybala was back in the starting eleven for Juventus and scored early in the match. Dybala would receive the ball inside the penalty area, dribble around a defender and score to give Juventus the 1-0 lead.

The Argentine was brought on as a substitute for Juventus against Villarreal in the Champions League. Back from injury, he was not selected by coach Lionel Scaloni for the Argentina national team for the March World Cup qualifiers.

Still only 28 years old, Dybala has now scored eight league goals this season for Juventus.

Hernán Crespo to coach Al Duhail in Qatar

Hernán Crespo will become the new coach of Al Duhail in Qatar.

Crespo will coach the Emir Cup champions. According to César Luis Merlo, Crespo will travel to Qatar in the next few days to sign his contract which would keep him at the club until June 2023. The owner of PSG, the Emir of Qatar, played an important role in signing him.

Since becoming manager, he has won the Copa Sudamericana with Defensa y Justicia and the Campeonato Paulista with Sao Paulo.
