Facundo Buonanotte confirms transfer to Brighton from Rosario Central

Facundo Buonanotte confirmed his transfer to Premier League club Brighton from Rosario Central.

Buonanotte will be playing in the Premier League. The player himself confirmed the move on Monday after reports that he was joining the club. Speaking to Estadio 3, here is what the attacking midfielder had to say:

“Today they confirmed my sale. It’s not every day that a Premier League club comes looking for you. I’m going to respect Central and I am going to to leave at the end of the year.”

“We fought until the end for the good of the club and for us to get to a good offer. It’s not every day that English football comes for you.

“We were not convinced at first but then we managed to make it better.”

The Argentine’s agent, Roberto San Juan also spoke about the move:

“I was in meetings with people from England, we are on the subject and the possibility is firm. Central are very interested and Facundo is very happy. IT’s a huge opportunity for him.

“We must try to accept these possibilities. The management is analyzing the offer because it’s one of Central’s best sales.”

Carlos Tevez, presently coaching the 17 year old at Rosario Central had this to say:

“I watch football and it’s beena long time since I’ve seen someone play who gives me as much pleasure as Buonanotte. When he brakes and accelerates, he reminds me of (Lionel) Messi. He is at a very high level.”

Still only 17, he has represented Argentina at youth level, having been part of Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 national team back in June for the Toulon tournament. He is set to join Brighton in January.

Juan Foyth is out injured for six weeks and could miss the Argentina matches for September.

Foyth was substituted out injured for Villarreal on Sunday in their 0-0 draw vs. Getafe and it looks like he will miss more than a match. According to Gastón Edul, he will be out for six weeks and will be closely followed by the Argentina national team.

The injury appears to be to his left knee and some reports even state that he will be out between 8-10 weeks. Argentina play two matches in September in the United States and he will not be discarded just yet as the team will follow his progress.

The Argentina national team will train at Inter Miami CF’s training complex next month.

When the Argentina national team play next month in the United States, they will be training in Miami. According to Gastón Edul, the team will train there for their friendly matches.

Lionel Scaloni’s team play Honduras on September 23 in Miami at the Hard Rock stadium. They will play a second match on September 27 in New York at the Red Bull arena.

Facundo Buonanotte will join Premier League club Brighton from Rosario Central.

Buonanotte will be playing with fellow Argentine Alexis Mac Allister at Brighton. According to César Luis Merlo, there is an agreement in principle for the 17 year old to the club at the end of the year.

The Argentine midfielder will sign until June 2027 for $10 million with Rosario Central getting 20% of future sales. He is part of Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team, having played in the Toulon tournament back in June.
