The 22 year old was onto a loose ball after a slip in the Sarmiento back line and he would convert to make it 2-0 to River Plate. A cross into the penalty area would find Álvarez as he would score with predator like instincts to triple River’s lead.

An explosive finish from the striker on the sixth goal as he would release an effort from inside the penalty area into the roof of the goal.

Argentina is among the countries which is requesting the most tickets for the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup.

FIFA have announced that 23.5 million fans have requested World Cup tickets in the latest draw. All three of Argentina’s group matches at the World Cup are in the top four most popular games:

Argentina vs. Mexico
Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia
England vs. United States of America
Argentina vs. Poland

Along with hosts Qatar, Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and the United States are the countries requesting the most tickets.

Alejandro Garnacho makes Manchester United debut

Alejandro Garnacho made his Manchester United debut.

Garnacho became the youngest Argentine to ever play for Manchester United. With minutes remaining in United’s 1-1 draw vs. Chelsea at Old Trafford, the Argentine was substituted on.

At the age of 17 years and 9 months, he became the fourth youngest player of all time to ever debut for Manchester United. He also became only the seventh Argentine to play for United as he joined Ángel Di María, Sergio Romero, Juan Sebastián Verón, Gabriel Heinze, Carlos Tevez and Marcos Rojo.

He even posted about it on social media.

Despite only being 17, he has had a great season with the Manchester United youth team, one which even earned him a call up to the Argentina national team.

Juan Foyth of Villarreal has been nominated for the Champions League Player of the Week.

Foyth was part of the Villarreal team which lost 2-0 vs. Liverpool at Anfield but was one of Villarreal’s better players. Up against Luis Diaz, the Argentine more than held his own as he helped shut down the Colombian.

Still only 24 years old, the right back has done well this season. He is up against Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, Bernardo Silva of Manchester City and Thiago of Liverpool for the award.
