Messi didn’t score but did assist three times for PSG. The first assist came from the edge of the penalty area where he passed it to Neymar who scored to give PSG the 1-0 lead.

The second assist was more difficult. A cross in to Messi as he controlled it with his chest and hit it off the volley into Kylian Mbappe who would score.

Another assist to Mbappe would be the third as he would run towards the Clermont back line, pass it to Mbappe who would score from the edge of the penalty area.

Despite his lack of goals, the Argentine leads the league with 13 assists.

Alejandro Papu Gómez and Lucas Ocampos both scored for Sevilla in their 4-2 win vs. Granada.

Papu Gómez was back from injury for Sevilla and got a goal on his return. However, Lucas Ocampos was the first Argentine to score in the match. With the score at 1-1, Ocampos would get to a loose ball in the penalty area and he would score to give Sevilla the 2-1 lead. Ocampos is on six goals in the league.

At 3-2 for Sevilla, Oliver would play a pass into Gomez and the Argentine would score. He has now scored 5 goals in the league this season.

Andrés D’Alessandro to retire from football on April 17 with Internacional

Andrés D’Alessandro has announced that April 17 will be his last match as he will retire from football with Internacional.

D’Alessandro spent over 12 years with Internacional and will be playing his last match for the club. Internacional posted a video on their social media pages of D’Alessandro announcing his retirement.

At 40 years, he will be 41 on April 15 and would have had an accomplished career. He won Olympic gold with Argentina at the 2004 Olympics and the 2001 U20 FIFA World Cup.

He started off with River Plate and made the jump over to Europe where he played with Wolfsburg. While at the club, he would join Portsmouth and Real Zaragoza on loan.

He would leave Wolfsburg and join Zaragoza for one year before going back to Argentina. In Argentina, he would play for San Lorenzo.

Spending one year with San Lorenzo, he would join Internacional where he would spend 12 years at the club. After that was a loan deal to River Plate. He would leave Internacional for Nacional in Uruguay before finally returning to Internacional where he would end his career.

With his clubs, he won three league titles with River Plate and a Copa Libertadores with Internacional. In 2010, he was also voted as the South American Footballer of the Year, to add to his list of accomplishments.

Argentina vs. Brazil World Cup qualifier to be played in Europe, possibly in June

Argentina against Brazil in the postponed World Cup qualifier is going to be played in Europe and possibly in June.

The postponed World Cup qualifying match from September between Argentina and Brazil is set to be played in Europe. According to Gastón Edul, the match will be played there and possibly in the second week of June. This would mean after the match against Italy.

While the match did kick off in September, it was stopped after only five minutes. Brazilian officials stormed the pitch as claims there were claims that Emiliano Martinez, Cristian Romero, Emiliano Buendia and Gio Lo Celso all broke Brazilian COVID protocols.

Alejandro Garnacho scores for Manchester United 23 team in 1-0 win vs. Chelsea

Alejandro Garnacho scored for the Manchester United U23 team in their 1-0 win vs. Chelsea.

Garnacho, who trained with the senior Manchester United team earlier in the week, scored the only goal of the match in their win. A pass to Garnacho in front of goal and the Argentine would score.
