Emiliano “Dibu” Martinez and Emiliano Buendia are travelling with the Argentina national team for the World Cup qualifiers.

Martinez and Buendia are both suspended for two matches for Argentina but will be with the team for the matches against Venezuela and Ecuador. According to TNT Sports, Martinez and Buendia, along with Cristian Romero and Gio Lo Celso, will all be with the team.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni and the AFA will try to reduce their two match ban. The four players were suspended for having broken Brazilian COVID protocols.

Lautaro Martínez of Inter has tested positive for COVID and will miss Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Venezuela.

Martínez tested positive for COVID prior to flying out from Italy to Spain to take a flight to Argentina. He will miss the match against Venezuela on Friday.

Argentina national team coach will hope to have him for the second match against Ecuador on March 29 but he would have to test negative prior to the match.

Paulo Dybala will reportedly leave Juventus for free at the end of the season.

Dybala will no longer be a Juventus player at the end of the season. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine will leave as a free agent. There was an agreement put in place in October for €8 million plus €2 million net salary until 2026.

However, the club has since changed their proposal and Dybala is unhappy with the new conditions. He will open talks with other clubs.

The 28 year old joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 where he finished his first season with 19 league goals, 23 goals in total. Returning from injury, Dybala scored for Juventus in their last match.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has not called Dybala up for this week’s World Cup qualifying matches.

Gio Lo Celso of Villarreal flying to Argentina for World Cup qualifiers, despite suspension

Gio Lo Celso of Villarreal is flying to Argentina for the World Cup qualifiers despite being suspended.

Lo Celso is on the plane with the Argentina national team. While he is suspended for two matches, like Cristian Romero, the AFA are hoping to have the ban reduced down to one match. If the ban is reduced, Lo Celso would be available for the second match against Ecuador but would miss the first match against Venezuela.

Nicolas Otamendi uploaded a picture on his Instagram of himself with Lo Celso, Angel Correa, Rodrigo De Paul and Lucas Ocampos on a flight to Argentina.

Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur is travelling with the Argentina national team for the two World Cup qualifiers.

Romero, who is suspended for both of Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers is heading to Argentina. Per Mundo Albiceleste’s sources, the AFA are hoping to get Romero’s two match suspension reduced down to one match.

He had put up an Instagram post following Tottenham’s win against West Ham United where the caption read “Now to think about my Argentina national team”.

Should the AFA get the ban reduced, it would mean that Romero would only miss the home qualifier on March 25 against Venezuela. He would be available for the March 29 World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.

He, along with Gio Lo Celso, Emiliano Martinez and Emiliano Buendia are all suspended for having broken Brazilian COVID protocols. The four players were originally part of the preliminary team but did not make the final team because of the suspensions.
