Lionel Messi reached 800 club matches in his career following PSG’s match against Nantes.

Messi reached another milestone in his career. Lionel Messi provide an assist for PSG in their 3-1 loss vs. Nantes and that match was number 800 in his club career. While playing most of his club matches with FC Barcelona, it was with PSG that reached that magical number.

Scoring 679 goals and providing 312 assists, 672 of them came with FC Barcelona with 120 of them in the Champions League with the club. With PSG, he has seven goals, two of them in Ligue 1 and five of them in the Champions League.

He has provided 303 assists for FC Barcelona and nine with PSG. These numbers from Transfermarkt. These numbers exclude Argentina national team matches.

Richarlison spoke about a hypothetical World Cup final against Germany or Argentina.

The Brazilian has once more spoken about the Argentina national team. After being interviewed by ESPN earlier in the month and commenting on Argentina, Lionel Messi and the Copa America, the Everton striker gave his views on a hypothetical World Cup final. Speaking with TNT Sports, here is what he had to say:

“I would prefer Germany in the World Cup final over Argentina. The Argentine is a half cheat and we know how they are when they are winning, no? I prefer Germany, who knows if we will beat them.”

Lionel Messi provided a great assist for Neymar in PSG’s 3-1 loss vs. Nantes.

Messi started PSG’s match on Saturday while Ángel Di María and Mauro Icardi started the match on the bench. Messi did not score, he did provide a great assist for Neymar on PSG’s only goal of the match. A pass which broke through the back line found Neymar who scored PSG’s only goal of the match.

Ángel Di María was brought on as a substitute while Mauro Icardi did not play. Leandro Paredes was out with an adductor injury.

Ángel Correa reached 11 goals for Atletico Madrid this season in their 3-0 win vs. Osasuna.

Correa cannot stop scoring as he leads Atletico in goals scored. With Atletico leading 2-0, a pass was played into Correa and with the goalkeeper advancing, the Argentine with a left footed finish gave Atletico the 3-0 lead.

The 26 year old is on 11 goals and four assists in 25 matches in La Liga this season.

Sergio Agüero spoke about the World Cup, the Argentina national team, Lionel Messi and joining FC Barcelona.

Agüero was forced to retire from football in December of 2021 as he had to stop playing due to health reasons. One of the greatest strikers of his generation, Aguero had several memorable moments in every shirt he wore.

Prior to winning the Copa America with the Argentina national team, he left Manchester City and joined FC Barcelona, which would be the last club he would represent. Speaking in an interview with Radio 10 in Argentina, Agüero spoke about several topics. One of which was the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Here is what he had to say:

“I’m going to the World Cup in Qatar. We are going to have a meeting this week. I want to be there. The idea is for me to be incorporated into the coaching staff, I spoke with Scaloni and Tapia.

“The desire to win the World Cup is there. The team is very confident, Lionel Scaloni found the group.”

In regards to joining FC Barcelona from Manchester City:

“I didn’t go to Barcelona for the money, I wanted to play next to Leo (Messi).”

Regarding first meeting Lionel Messi:

“I was with the U17 team and we were training with the U20 and Leo was there. I didn’t know who he was. I started to pay attention and I asked him what his name was. He said Messi. That’s where I met him.”

About Argentina winning the Copa America and Lionel Messi:

“Messi was relieved after the Copa America. It was something we were looking towards for a long time.”

About the French media attacking Lionel Messi:

“How are the French media going to kill Messi, Leo played well. Were they watching the game with their backs turned?”

He also spoke about his son:
