Gonzalo Montiel will reportedly be leaving River Plate and joining Sevilla.

The Copa America winner with Argentina is a wanted man by Sevilla and it looks like the Liga club will be getting their guy. According to Gustavo Yarroch, Sevilla will pay his transfer fee which is of €10 million.

Montiel, still on 24 years old, has been with River Plate since making his debut back in 2016. The right back started the Copa America final for Argentina when they defeated Brazil.

After some rumors about Sergio Agüero possibly leaving FC Barcelona following the departure of his friend Lionel Messi, Agüero himself confirmed to some “Culés” fans that he will stay at the Catalan club.

It was prior to the dinner that Leo Messi organized with his closest people last Friday, “Kun” was in his car when a group of fans stopped the newly signed Barcelona player for a picture. Given the anxiety of the fans wanting to take a photo with Agüero, the new signing told them the following:

Sergio Agüero has been ruled out injured for 10 weeks as he will miss the start of the season for FC Barcelona and six World Cup qualifying matches for Argentina.

It’s not the best start for Agüero as he returned to Spain. With his good friend Lionel Messi having left the club, Kun has been dealt another hit. An injury to his calf muscle initially had him ruled out for 3-4 weeks.

Barcelona have announced that the injury is more severe than that. Agüero will miss 10 weeks in total, meaning three World Cup qualifying matches in September and another three in October.

Tottenham have reportedly offered €70 million for Lautaro Martinez with his agent denying any agreement.

As we reported a few days ago, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the Argentine Copa America winner. However, it appears as if Tottenham would be the team in a better position to sign him. Per Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have already opened talks for him.

In addition to Tottenham, Atletico Madrid have also asked about Lautaro. But it appears as though Inter are not planning on selling him. Per Cesaro Luis Merlo, Inter’s agent had this to say about it all:

“Lautaro is happy at Inter and in Italy. His decision is to stay. The relationship with Inter is perfect. Lautaro is calm, it’s true that there have been offers but today he’s comfortable and we will sit down to talk about the future.”
