Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes has all joined the Argentina national team.

Messi along with Di Maria and Paredes are among the first to join the Argentina national team for the matches in November. The rumors are reports are that despite not being fully fit, Messi would play a bit against Uruguay but is expected to play the 90 minutes against Brazil.

Angel Di Maria is fit and Leandro Paredes is still recovering.

Julian Alvarez scored four goals for River Plate in their 5-0 win vs. Patronato.

Alvarez has been the star of the league in Argentina, scoring 15 goals in 16 matches. Still only 21 years old, the Argentine has been in great form this season.

With the score at 1-0, a shot from outside of the penalty area was stopped by the goalkeeper but Alvarez got the rebound to score and double their lead. Alvarez would score his second of the match as he stole the ball from the goalkeeper and scored from a tight angle.

He would make it 4-0 as once more the goalkeeper would stop a shot and the ball would bounce in front of Alvarez as he would head it in for his hat trick. The most prolific striker in South America, the Argentine would make it 5-0 as the ball was played into the penalty area and Alvarez would strike it over the goalkeeper.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has included Julian Alvarez in the team for the matches this month.

Leandro Paredes to be with Argentina team despite PSG disapproval

Leandro Paredes will be with the Argentina national team despite PSG’s disapproval.

Paredes is injured and has been called up to the Argentina national team with initial reports stating that he would not be joining the Argentina team. Earlier last week, PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino stated that it was unlikely that Paredes would be with the Argentina team for their two World Cup qualifying matches due to injury.

However, it was PSG director of sport Leonardo who stated that Paredes would be with the Argentina team despite it being against the wishes of the club. Speaking with Le Parisien, here is what he had to say:

“We don’t agree with letting a player leave for international duty, who for us, is not in physical condition is is still in the recovery stages. It’s not logical and these kinds of situations merit that we establish a rule with FIFA.”

Argentina play two World Cup qualifying matches against Uruguay and Brazil as Argentina look to remain undefeated.

Nicolas Gonzalez continues to test positive for COVID-19 and could miss Argentina’s World Cup qualifying matches.

Gonzalez tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of October but was called up to the Argentina national team. Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni included the 23 year old in the team for the matches against Uruguay and Brazil but he continues to test positive.

It remains to be seen if he will be able to participate in the two games.

Marcos Acuña scored for Sevilla in their 2-0 win vs. Real Betis.

Acuña scored his first goal fo the season for Sevilla with a great strike from the edge of the penalty area. Acuna had a shot that was saved by the goalkeeper minutes before opening the score.

The Argentine received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and a left footed effort gave Sevilla the 1-0 lead.

Real Betis had both Germán Pezzella and Guido Rodriguez starting as Guido was sent off after two yellow cards. For Sevilla, they had Acuña, Gonzalo Montiel, Erik Lamela and Lucas Ocampos all starting.
