Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni will be announcing the Argentina squad for the this month’s World Cup qualifiers and Lucas Ocampos will want to be included. With Atletico Madrid leading 2-1, Ocampos was fouledi nside the penalty area and a penalty was awarded.

Ocampos would score the penalty to draw Sevilla level. The Argentine has now scored in four consecutive matches for Sevilla with a total of 10 goals this season.

Lucas Alario of Bayer Leverkusen says he wants to be in Argentina team

Lucas Alario has stated that he wants to be included in the Argentina team.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni included the Leverkusen striker in the squad near the end of last year. Alario has scored 10 goals with two assists in 28 matches this season. The Argentina team play both Ecuador and Bolivia later this month in the World Cup qualifiers. Speaking with Sportia, here’s what Alario had to say:

“I’m thinking short term, I want to be in the next Argentina list. After that, I have to keep working and doing my best with my club to be able to show that I want to be there.”

Lionel Messi to make Argentina team for World Cup qualifiers, suspended vs. Ecuador

Lionel Messi will be included in the Argentina team for this month’s South American World Cup qualifiers.

Argentina will play both Ecuador and Bolivia as the World Cup qualifiers begin this month. The first match will take place in Argentina vs. Ecuador where Messi will not be available. The Argentina captain has a one game suspension which means he will miss the first game.

Messi will be available to play vs. Bolivia in La Paz for the second game. The first match takes place on Thursday, March 26 vs. Ecuador at La Bombonera. The second game takes place on Tuesday, March 31 vs. Bolivia in La Paz.

Per a report by TyC Sports, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni is expected to include between 25 and 30 players in the squad for the two matches.

Gio Lo Celso scored his penalty as Erik Lamela missed his in Tottenham’s FA Cup elimination.

With the Premier League out of reach and a likely elimination from the Champions League, Tottenham’s only possible chance of silverware is no more after losing to Norwich City. It was the 5th Round of the FA Cup and with the score at 1-1, the match went to penalty kicks.

Rodrigo De Paul recently gave an interview with Sportia where he spoke about the Argentina national team, Lionel Messi and the World Cup qualifiers.

Udinese’s start player will be looking to be included in the Lionel Scaloni’s list of players for the World Cup qualifiers which begin later this month. Having already taken part in last year’s Copa America, De Paul spoke about the atmosphere within the group. Here’s what he had to say:

“I’ve never seen a group like this, so much happiness, with so much positive energy. It’s difficult to find a group like that. It just flows naturally.”

About the call-ups for the World Cup qualifiers:

“In general, up until that date, we dont’ talk. We don’t know if we’ll be there. We wait for the list. If we’re there, we start to write. Many times, we travel with a team mate.”

Regarding Lionel Messi and the rumors regarding his injury, here’s what De Paul had to say:

“I watched the entire match (Barcelona vs. Real Madrid). I didn’t see that difficulty. Leo, with any kind of problem, is better than anyone. Hopefully he has nothing. For the Argentina national team, he’s the most important one we have.”

De Paul also spoke about the World Cup qualifiers:

“Luckily, we have players with a lot of experience that have played in them and that have told us about the difficulties. It won’t be easy for anyone. I hope to play as many minutes as possible.”
