Lautaro Martinez scored for Inter in their 2-2 draw vs. Sampdoria.

Martinez made it two goals in two matches for Inter in their draw. With the score at 1-1, a cross was sent in to Lautaro and his touch which was hit first time gave Inter the 2-1 lead.

Joaquin Correa was substituted on for Lautaro in the second half.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni commented on the team and Lionel Messi.

Lionel Scaloni and Argentina managed the 3-0 win vs. Bolivia in the World Cup qualifiers with Lionel Messi scoring a hat trick. The match was the first one at home for Argentina and with fans in attendance. Scaloni spoke about the win and having the team. Here is what he had to say:

“The sacrifice, the companionship, the humility, the work, it’s adding much more opportunities on the wings in attacks. We have players that can unbalance the opposition during one on one’s. That, we were able to achieve but we know that there are things to improve. We will try to do that.”

Scaloni also spoke about Lionel Messi.

“Winning magnifies everything. For the people, he was already an idol. Imagine now that he has won… Seeing everyone excited fills us with joy but it lasts until the end of the press conference. Then, we have to think of what is to come. He has always been a player who makes the difference. I have no doubt about it.”

Lionel Messi broke down crying as he was interviewed after Argentina’s 3-0 win vs. Bolivia and also during the celebrations.

Messi scored a hat trick and was the man of the match for Argentina. However, he stole the show even after the match. As he was speaking following the win, Messi got emotional and began crying. Here is what he had to say:

“I really wanted to be able to enjoy it. I waited a long time for this, I looked for it and I Dreamed of it. It’s a unique moment for the way it happened, after so much waiting.

“There was no better way to celebrate this than to be here. My mother, my brothers are in the stands… They suffered a lot and today, they are here celebrating. I’m very happy.”

The Argentina team celebrated with the Copa America trophy on the pitch after the match and Messi was once more emotional.

Lionel Messi scored a hat trick and broke a South American record in Argentina’s 2-0 win vs. Bolivia in the World Cup qualifiers.

Messi reached 79 goals with the Argentina national team as he overtook Pele’s record for most goals scored by a South American player for his national team. The first goal saw Messi play the ball through the legs of the opposition and his left foot from outside of the penalty are gave Argentina the 1-0 lead.

Angel Di Maria, who was arguably Argentina’s best player in the first half, played an outside of the foot low cross to Lautaro Martinez who scored. However, Lautaro was offside as the linesman raised his flag.

Lautaro missed another great opportunity as Messi played in a pass and his effort just went wide. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni brought on Joaquin Correa for Alejandro Papu Gomez.

The second goal saw Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martinez combine, with Messi playing a pass to Lautaro who returned the ball and his right footed shot made it 2-0 for Argentina.

Two more changes for Argentina as Nicolas Gonzalez was brought in for Angel Di Maria and Angel Correa for Lautaro Martinez. Scaloni would make two more substitutions as Exequiel Palacios came on for Rodrigo De Paul and Lucas Martinez Quarta for Nicolas Otamendi.

Argentina would score their third goal and it would be Lionel Messi. An effort from outside of the penalty area was saved by the goalkeeper but Messi got to the rebound for his hat trick.

The Argentina starting eleven for their match against Bolivia has been announced with Scaloni going with a few changes from the last match.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni makes four changes from the last match. As we reported earlier, Scaloni had mentioned that Juan Musso will be starting the match. Nahuel Molina starts instead of Gonzalo Montiel while Pezzella is back in the eleven with Cristian Romero out of the team.

It was between Alejandro Papu Gomez and Nicolas Gonzalez but it is Papu Gomez who starts. This is the eleven:

Juan Musso; Nahuel Molina, Pezzella, Otamendi, Acuña; Di María, Paredes, De Paul, Alejandro Papu Gómez; Messi and Lautaro Martínez.

Three players don’t make the bench as Juan Foyth, Nicolas Tagliafico (with a knock) and Nicolas Dominguez are out.
