Marcos Senesi scored an overhead kick goal for Feyenoord in their 4-2 win vs. Den Haag.

It was a goal even the best striker would be proud of having in his highlight reel. With the score at 1-1, Feyenoord were awarded a corner kick. The ball was cleared to the Argentine defender who’s first time effort beat the goalkeeper to give Feyenoord the 2-1 lead.

Senesi, still only 23 years old, joined the club from San Lorenzo last season. He is yet to be capped by the Argentina national team.

Lautaro Martinez scored a great goal for Inter in their 4-3 win vs. Fiorentina.

In a match which saw Inter score twice in the last three minutes of the game, it was Fiorentina who took the 1-0 lead just minutes into the match. Lautaro Martinez would draw Inter level during injury time of the first half, a great right footed strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Still only 23 years of age, Martinez also had an assist in the game. Per Oprta Paolo, Lautaro is among the best in scoring from outside of the penalty area.

Martinez was selected by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.

Nicolas Otamendi could join Benfica from Manchester City

Nicolas Otamendi could be joining Benfica as part of a transfer which would see Manchester City get Ruben Dias.

Per a report by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are very close to signing Ruben Dias with Otamendi going the other way in a transfer which would be worth around €55 million. Otamendi has been at the club since 2015 but hasn’t been a regular starter for some time.

Otamendi has been selected for the Argentina team by coach Lionel Scaloni for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.

Lucas Ocampos scored for Sevilla in their 2-1 Super Cup loss to Bayern.

Ocampos continued his great form for his club, this time tormenting Bayern Munich. In a match between the UEFA Europa League winners and the UEFA Champions League winners, it was Sevilla which took the lead. A penalty was awarded and Ocampos scored a no look penalty against Germany’s Manuel Neuer to put Sevilla ahead.

He has now scored every penalty he has taken for Sevilla, that is six penalties out of six. Ocampos has also been selected by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.

The match would go to extra time and Bayern would score to win the trophy.

Rogelio Funes Mori: “I would like to play for Mexico”

Argentine striker Rogelio Funes Mori has stated that he would like to play for Mexico despite having played for the Argentina national team.

Funes Mori has been playing with Monterrey in Mexico since 2015 winning three trophies, one of which being the Champions League.

He has played one match for Argentina in 2012 in a friendly game against Brazil. Already 29 years old, his twin brother has featured several times for the Argentina national team, including the 2016 Copa America final. Speaking in an interview with Agenda Fox Sports, here’s what Funes Mori had to say:

“No doubt, my son is born here, I have a lot of affection for Mexico, I like it. It would be something to be able to give back for what this country has given me. I already spoke to the club in order to start my papers to be naturalized.”

Rogelio also spoke about possibly playing for Mexico at the 2022 World Cup:

“I would be the perfect age, I would be mature with a lot of responsibility. It would not depend on me, hopefully it could happen, I’d be proud to represent Mexico. They have always had great players.”
