Argentina U23 striker Nico Gonzalez scored for Stuttgart in their 3-2 win vs. Jahn Regensburg.

The former Argentinos Juniors man has scored his third goal in four matches this season. A lovely left footed shot from the edge of the penalty area opened the scoring for Stuttgart.

Still only 21 years old, Gonzalez was part of Fernando Batista’s last Argentina U23 setup.

Roberto Pereyra wins penalty, scores penalty for Watford vs. Arsenal

Roberto Pereyra scored for Watford in their 2-2 draw vs. Arsenal.

Despite starting the match on the bench, the 28 year old Argentine managed to have a huge impact for Watford. With Arsenal at one point having a 2-0 lead, the score was 2-1 when Pereyra was brought onto the pitch.

Pereyra received the ball and was tripped inside the penalty area by David Luiz. The referee awarded a penalty kick which was taken by the former River Plate and Juventus man.

He stepped up and the goalkeeper went the wrong way as Pereyra drew his team level.

Erik Lamela scores for Tottenham in 4-0 win vs. Crystal Palace

Erik Lamela scored for Tottenham in their 4-0 win against Crystal Palace.

The 27 year old Argentine registered his second goal of the season when he scored Tottenham’s fourth and final of the match. Lamela now has two goals and one assist in four league matches this season.

Not selected by Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni for the September friendly games, should Lamela maintain his current form, he could be selected for the matches in October.

Nicolas Tagliafico scores twice, a header and flying volley in Ajax win

Nicolas Tagliafico scored twice for Ajax, a header and a flying volley, in Ajax’s 4-1 win vs. Heerenveen.

There’s nothing the Argentina captain can’t do on a pitch. He defends, he scores goals with his head and even flying volleys. With the match at 1-1, Nicolas Tagliafico found himself on the end of a cross and headed it to restore Ajax’s lead.

At 3-0, it was a thing of beauty. Another cross sent in for Tagliafico as the Argentine jumped, extended his leg and scored his second of the game. He was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Sergio Aguero scores, Emi Buendia two assists in Norwich City win

Sergio Aguero scored for Manchester City while Emi Buendia had two assists as Norwich won 3-2 against the league champions.

Norwich City were awarded a corner kick which was taken by Emi Buendia. The 22 year old Argentine’s cross found the head of McLean who scored the first of the game.

They would go on to double their lead and just as it looked like they would go into half time with a two goal advantage, Sergio Aguero pulls one back for City. A cross sent in found Aguero and his header made it 2-1 going into the break.

Nicolas Otamendi had a horror show on the third goal for Norwich. Buendia would easily steal the ball off him and pass it to Pukki for the third.
