Paulo DYBALA scored lovely trick and chip goal in Juventus win

68

Paulo DYBALA scored the only goal for Juventus in their 1-0 friendly match win against Triestina.

The Argentine played and scored like a man on a mission, someone with a point to prove to his club. After being heavily linked with a move away from Turin as his club made it clear that they were not interested in keeping him, DYBALA scored a goal worthy of winning any award.

DYBALA received the ball inside the penalty area and with a clever move, beat his defender before chipping it over the goalkeeper. It’s clear that DYBALA is or possibly was not in the coach’s plans but it looks like he is determined to prove everyone wrong.

Sergio AGUERO and Erik LAMELA both scored for their clubs as Manchester City drew 2-2 against Tottenham.

In a match that saw four goals and a fifth disallowed by VAR, two of them were scored by Argentine players. Erik LAMELA scored his first goal of the Premier League season, a lovely strike from outside the area to draw Tottenham level.

Sergio AGUERO would give Manchester City their second lead of the match as he scored his second goal of the Premier League season.

Lisandro MARTINEZ, Marcos ROJO rumored to make Argentina team, Angel DI MARIA out

63

Lisandro MARTINEZ, Marcos ROJO and others are rumored to make the Argentina national team list while the likes of Angel DI MARIA are likely to miss out.

Argentina have two friendly matches line-up for the month of September, both against familiar foes. One against Chile, the team which they defeated at the 2019 Copa America and the second against a long time rival, Mexico.

Coach Lionel SCALONI is expected to announce his list of players, which will vary from the one which made the Copa America, on Sunday or Monday. With a shortage of defenders due to injuries, Lisandro MARTINEZ, Walter MARTINEZ and Lucas Martinez QUARTA are all expected to make the Argentina National team for the two games.

One other defender which is being rumored is Manchester United defender Marcos ROJO. The former Estudiantes man has not played a single match for his country since the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Eduardo SALVIO of Boca Juniors who also has not played a single match since the World Cup is rumored to be making a return to the team. The likes of Angel DI MARIA and Matias SUAREZ, both who were part of the Copa America team will miss out.

Goalkeeper Esteban ANDRADA of Boca Juniors is set to be included as well.

Nicolas TAGLIAFICO scored for Ajax while Lisandro MARTINEZ had a standout performance in their 3-2 win against PAOK.

With the first leg ending 2-2, TAGLIAFICO managed the second goal in the victory and the tie which ended 5-4 in Ajax’s favor. With it being 1-1, a cross was sent into the area and TAGLIAFICO was the first to reach it as he headed it passed the goalkeeper and into the net.

There was another Argentine in the match who had a solid performance, that being newly signed Lisandro MARTINEZ. The defender was everywhere for Ajax.
