Argentina Club World Cup preview, Nicolás González, Claudio Echeverri

The Club World Cup continues on Wednesday and there are seven Argentine players that can take part in the match.

Claudio Echeverri and Manchester City take part in the first match of the day against Wydad AC. The second match of the day is Real Madrid against Al-Hilal.

Pachuca have three Argentine players in the team. Sergio Barreto, Gustavo Cabral and Agustín Palavecino will play RB Salzburg. Nicolás Capaldo of Red Bull Salzburg is not with them at the Club World Cup due to an injury to his hand.

In the last match of the day, it’s Nicolás González and Juventus against Al Ain who have Mateo Sanabria and Matías Palacios.

Martínez got his first goal at the Club World Cup after falling behind 1-0 against Monterrey. It was Monterrey eho took the 1-0 lead when they were awarded a corner kick and Sergio Ramos scored the header.

Moments before half time, Inter were awarded a free kick. The ball was chipped inside the penalty area to Augusto and he would play a pass across the area to Lautaro and the Argentine would score to draw Inter level.

Inter play Urawa Reds on Saturday while River Plate, who won 3-1 against Urawa Reds, will ppay Monterrey.

El Millonario got off to a strong start ahead of their upcoming clash against Monterrey. Yusuke Matsuo scored a penalty to pull one back for the Japanese side.

The Argentines Franco Armani, Gonzalo Montiel, Germán Pezzella, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Marcos Acuña, Enzo Pérez, Ignacio Fernández, and Franco Mastantuono were all starters for the team coached by Marcelo Gallardo.

Paulo Dybala turned down an offer from Al-Hilal to play with them at the Club World Cup.

Dybala reportedly said no to the Saudi club to play with them in the United States. According to César Luis Merlo, Al-Hilal offered the Argentine €10 million to play with them at the Club World Cup but he said no.

With AS Roma not in the Club World Cup, Dybala was in attendance to watch Benfica’s 2-2 draw against Boca Juniors in Miami.

Agustín Rossi keeps clean sheet for Flamengo vs. Espérance de Tunis

Agustín Rossi kept a clean sheet for Flamengo against Espérance de Tunis in the Club World Cup.

Rossi made two saves for the Brazilian club in their 2-0 win against Espérance de Tunis. The Argentine made a save in the 66th minute, a near post save to keep the clean sheet.

Flamengo are first in the group, tied with Chelsea, who won 2-0 against LAFC with Enzo Fernández scoring in the match. Flamengo play Chelsea on Friday.

Osvaldo Godoy of Mundo Albiceleste was in attendance as media for Boca Juniors against Benfica in their 2-2 draw on Monday.
