Lucas Alario scored for Bayer Leverkusen in their 1-0 win vs. Mainz.
Alario has started to score more frequently and this time an injury time winner. After being substituted on, Alario would be the hero as a pass would be played in and Alario would score from close range to give Leverkusen the victory.
He now has seven goals in his last 14 games for club and country.
Rodrigo De Paul scored for Udinese in their 2-1 win vs. Cagliari.
De Paul’s form which got him into the Argentina national team is continuing. Rumored to be on Inter’s transfer list, De Paul scored a great goal to give Udinese the early lead.
The Argentina man would receive the ball just inside the penalty area and a lovely first touch finish with his right foot and beat the goalkeeper.
Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona in their 4-1 win vs. Alaves.
Messi continues to do Lionel Messi things. With the score at 2-1 for Barcelona, Messi would receive the ball and he would drive forward. Surrounded by several Alaves players, the Barcelona captain would shoot from outside of the penalty area and score.
That goal means that Lionel Messi has now scored 50 or more goals in a calendar year for the 6th straight year, nine times in the last 10 years.
