Lisandro Magallan scored his first goal for new club Alaves in their 2-0 win vs. Celta Vigo.
After having been unable to secure a spot with Ajax, Magallan joined Deportivo Alaves on loan and scored his first goal. A towering header from the 26 year old Argentine center back gave Alaves the 1-0 lead.
Joaquin Correa and Alejandro Gomez both scored for their clubs as Lazio drew 3-3 vs. Atalanta.
Alejandro Gomez scored the third for Atalanta as they took a 3-0 lead in the first half. A pass played in to Gomez as the Argentina ran through and with a left footed finish beat the goalkeeper.
Joaquin Correa would score Lazio’s second goal of the match. With Atalanta leading 3-1, Correa would receive the ball outside of the penalty area, he would drive in from the goalkeeper’s left and would unleash a thunderous right footed shot into the roof of the net.
Lautaro Martinez scored twice for Inter in their 4-3 win vs. Sassuolo.
It took Lautaro just two minutes to score. Lautaro received the ball inside the penalty area and a lovely right footed effort beat the goalkeeper for the first of the match.
With Inter leading 3-1, Lautaro would add one more, this time off a penalty. Martinez would go to the goalkeeper’s left side, sending him the wrong side.
Angel Di Maria scored twice for PSG while Mauro Icardi scored once in their 4-1 win vs. OGN Nice.
It was Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes and Mauro Icardi all starting vs. Walter Benitez as the league leaders set out to get a win. Angel Di Maria opened the scoring as he was one on one with Benitez and his shot beat the goalkeeper for the first goal of the match.
Di Maria doubled his tally and PSG’s lead just six minutes later with a lovely lob over Benitez. The Argentine was at a very difficult angle and lobbed it over the goalkeeper.
Mauro Icardi would also score, very late in the match. With the score at 3-1, a ball was squared for Icardi who didn’t miss from close range for his second league goal.
Lionel Messi had a goal and an assist for Barcelona in their 3-0 win vs. Eibar.
In the week where he won a record six Golden Shoe, Messi added one more goal to his never ending collection. With the ball inside the penalty area, it fell to Messi who slotted in a low shot to make it 2-0 for the league champions.
Messi would provide the assist for 3-0 after being one on one with the goalkeeper, he would pass it to an unmarked Luis Suarez who would score.
