Argentina U20 coach Fernando BATISTA announced his squad for the FIFA World Cup to be held in Poland.
The coach selected his 21 man squad with Ezequiel BARCO of Atlanta United being included. Here’s the full squad.
BATISTA’s boys are in Group F along with South Africa, Portugal and Korea Republic. Here are the match dates:
May 25 vs. South Africa
May 28 vs. Portugal
May 31 vs. Korea Republic
Lionel MESSI scored twice for FC Barcelona in their 3-0 win against Liverpool.
Another big European night and another massive show by Lionel MESSI. The FC Barcelona captain was at the end of a loose ball and scored an open net to make it 2-0 for Barcelona.
MESSI’s second goal of the match was nothing short of world class. A free kick into the corner of the net was goal number 600 of Lionel MESSI’s Barcelona career.

Angel DI MARIA scored for PSG in their 3-2 loss against Montpellier.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions lost their second match in a span of a few days, this time in the league. With the score at 1-1, DI MARIA was at the end of a loose ball in the penalty area, spun around the goalkeeper doing a roulette and scored to give PSG the lead.
DI MARIA’s goal was his number 10 in the league, 17 in all competitions.
Javier PASTORE and Federico FAZIO both scored in AS Roman’s 3-0 win against Cagliari.
The two Argentine’s scored their goals in the first eight minutes of the match. Federico FAZIO with a towering header while PASTORE’s well placed right footed shot from the edge of the penalty area made it 2-0 for Roma.
Speaking with AS Roma’s website, here is what coach RANIERI had to say about Javier PASTORE:
“With PASTORE, it’s not a case of getting him to express his potential because his ability is unlimited. I just said to him: ‘Do your thing because there aren’t many players with your talent but defend the way I want you to. If you do that, I’ll be happy.'”
Lionel MESSI scored the winning goal for FC Barcelona in their 1-0 victory against Levante.
With the league title on the line, Lionel MESSI started the match for the Catalan’s on the bench. He was substituted in and scored the league winning goal. A lovely left footed finish from inside the penalty area was the only goal of the match.
The league title is number 10 of Lionel MESSI’s career and for Barcelona, it’s 8 league trophies in 11 seasons.
