Diego MARADONA calls Edgardo BAUZA a traitor

To add to Roy’s article on BAUZA’s visit to Inter to talk to Mauro ICARDI, related news is brewing back home in Argentina.

Diego MARADONA who was attending the Davis Cup tie between Argentina and Italy spoke to Ole and was very less enthusiastic about BAUZA’s visit.

“It’s better not to comment, but if (Edgardo) BAUZA met with (Mauro) ICARDI, I think he is a traitor too”.

It appears Diego isn’t keen to have ICARDI getting called up for Argentina after the scandal between ICARDI and his wife Wanda, in relation to Maxi LOPEZ. As such, he believes that ICARDI doesn’t deserve to wear the blue and white shirt, no matter what he does on the field.

Argentina coach Edgardo BAUZA met with Inter’s Argentine players.

Edgardo BAUZA, who attended Roma’s match a few days ago visited the Inter team and was present at their training session. The coacg also met with the Argentine players as well as Javier ZANETTI and Walter SAMUEL. Most precisely, BAUZA spoke to Mauro ICARDI.

It remains to be seen what was said between the two but there was a talk which took place.

Edgardo BAUZA attened Roma’s match on Wednesday as he kept an eye on some players.

According to reports, Argentina National Team Edgardo BAUZA was in Italy for Roma’s match against Cesena. Apparently BAUZA was there watching Leandro PAREDES and Diego PEROTTI as both are being considered to the National Team.

Hello again everyone,

Today our “los pibes” play against Colombia in their 2nd match of the hexagonal stage.  Argentina must win today in order to secure a place in this summer’s World Cup in S. Korea.  After their 3-0 loss to Uruguay, they are currently siting in last place in the standings and thus need a win today.  If they tie or lose today, they would be obligated to win their last three matches in order to capture one of the four spots in the World Cup.  Despite the poor results in the first match, Argentina has benefited from the other 2 matches (Colombia-Venezuela and Ecuador-Brazil) which ended in draws.

Against Colombia, coach Úbeda will have to make at least one mandatory change due to midfielder’s Tomás Belmonte suspension.  His replacement will be either Pedro Ojeda (Rosario Central) or Franco Moyano (San Lorenzo).  Cristian Romero returns to his position as a central defender along with Juan Foyth.

Edgardo BAUZA: “I can only dream of winning the World Cup with MESSI”

Edgardo BAUZA spoke on Fox Sports Radio recently about winning the World Cup.

“Of course, it is difficult to win the World Cup, of course. But I can only dream about that. But having Lionel MESSI on my team, I can only think about being a world champion.”

He went even went on to make it a point that he doesn’t care if the National Team is overly depending on MESSI.

“In 1978 on home soil, Argentina became World Champion and we had (Mario) KEMPES. We became world champions again in 1986, this time we had (Diego) MARADONA. Today we have Leo (MESSI) and that’s a solution rather than a complications”.

However, BAUZA did warn “MESSI alone we will not win a game, you have to build a team around that can play alongside him”.
