Ángel Di María trained with the Argentina team as Lionel Scaloni tried eleven players in training.

Di María was back training and trained the entire session with the Argentina national team. The news on Wednesday for Argentina was that with Ángel Di María back, it was Rodrigo De Paul who missed the training.

Rodrigo De Paul trained separately from the team as he is undergoing tests to what early reports in Argentina are stating to be a muscle injury. Lionel Scaloni tested out a midfield of Alexis Mac Allister, Leandro Paredes and Enzo Fernández. According to Gastón Edul, here were the eleven from training:

Emiliano Martínez; Montiel, Romero, Otamendi, Tagliafico; Mac Allister, Paredes, Enzo; Mess; Di María, Álvarez

Rodrigo De Paul trained separately from the Argentina team on Wednesday and is undergoing tests.

De Paul did not train with his team mates. Per several reports out of the Argentine media, he has a muscle injury and could miss the quarter final match vs. Netherlands on Friday.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni tested out a midfield of Leandro Paredes, Enzo Fernández and Alexis Mac Allister in training on Wednesday.

Bernardo Silva has commented on the Argentina national team, Lionel Messi and Julián Álvarez.

The Portuguese star has qualified for the quarter finals where his team will be playing against Morocco. On the other side of the bracket is Argentina and the only way both teams can play each other would be either in a third place match or in the final of the World Cup.

He has played with Sergio Agüero at Manchester City and presently a team mate of Julián Álvarez. Speaking in an interview with Ole, here is what he had to say about Argentina:

“I see Argentina as very good. They started with the game vs. Saudi Arabia, which was not good. But the truth is that I see them very good, they are one of the favorites to win this competition.”

In regards to Julian Alvarez:

“I am very happy for Juli. He’s a great kid, he’s a great player, who surprised me a lot when he came to City because I didn’t know what to expect and I hope to see him in the final. The truth is that I see Argentina as one of the favorites.”

Regarding Lionel Messi:

“How do I see Messi? Messi is Messi… He is a player which everyone knows what he can do. And let’s hope that if we play against him in the final, that he doesn’t play or that he plays very badly, hahaha.”

Argentina national team to train on Wednesday afternoon

The Argentina national team will be training on Wednesday afternoon behind closed doors.

Lionel Scaloni will have the team training behind closed doors at the University of Qatar with eyes set on the quarter final match vs. the Netherlands on Friday. Tuesday’s training session was open to the media for the first 15 minutes and Scaloni had tried out to different formations.

The first had Leandro Paredes for Enzo Fernández in midfield with Ángel Correa up front with Lionel Messi and Julián Álvarez.

A second formation was tried with Enzo Fernandez coming in for Ángel Correa and it being four in midfield with Messi and Álvarez up front.

Ángel Correa and Leandro Paredes were tested for Argentina during Tuesday’s training as Ángel Di María trained with the team.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has started to test players in training as he made two changes to the eleven which started the 2-1 win vs. Australia. Ángel Correa rained in place of Ángel Di María as he had a bib on with Julián Álvarez and Lionel Messi.

Leandro Paredes also had a bib on as he trained in midfield with Rodrigo De Paul and Alexis Mac Allister. These were the eleven players which were tested in training:

Montiel, Otamendi, Romero, Tagliafico; Paredes, De Paul, Mac Allister, Ángel Correa, Álvarez and Messi

Di María was also back training with the team on Tuesday.
