Lionel Messi is going to fly out to Abu Dhabi on Sunday as Argentina play the United Arab Emirates before the World Cup.

Messi will be joining the Argentina national team on Sunday. Following PSG’s league game vs. Auxerre, the Argentine will take a flight to Abu Dhabi.

The Argentina national team will play the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, November 16 in Abu Dhabi. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is expected to announce his list of 26 players for the World Cup on Monday, November 14.

Sergio Aguero has spoken about the Argentina national team and the possibility of playing at a World Cup.

Agüero played in three World Cups for the Argentina national team, having reached one final. The now retired Argentine spoke in an interview with FIFA about the Argentina national team. Here is what he had to say:

“As different World Cups have passed, you realize that Argentina was always there, among the favorites. In my opinion, it’s very difficult for other countries to play against Argentina.”

He also spoke about playing at three different World Cups:

“It’s the best thing that can happen to a football player. Every kid dreams of going to a World Cup but not everyone gets that possibility.”

Enzo Fernández will go to the 2022 World Cup with the Argentina national team.

Fernández is confirmed to go to Qatar. According to Gastón Edul, he will be one of the 26 players.

The 21-year-old made his debut with the Argentina national team in September. He came on as a substitute in the 3-0 win vs. Honduras and the 3-0 win vs. Jamaica.

Lionel Scaloni submitted a first list of 46 players which was cut down to 31 players. According to Gastón Edul, that list is down to 28 players.

Scaloni will have to cut it from 28 to 26 with the deadline to announce the World Cup team being next Monday on November 14. Here is the list of 28 players:
