Argentina national team physical trainer Luis Martín spoke about Lionel Messi and Paulo Dybala.

Luis Martín commented on Lionel Messi and the fitness of the players, one of which being Paulo Dybala. Speaking in an interview with 221 Radio, here is what he had to say about Lionel Messi:

“He knows what he generates, he knows that he is in charge of generating the relaxed atmosphere. Messi and Di María are competitive animals. They did not want revenge, they carried the pressure of bringing joy to the people, their friends and families.”

Martín also spoke about the fitness of the players.

“We are very aware of the players with their clubs. We are constantly following their progress. We are confident that Dybala can be there.”

Regarding the coaching staff:

“They are finalizing the details of the camp and we wake up at 5:00 in the morning to see how everything is progressing. We are hoping to arrive in the best way. They have to face competition and to fulfill their commitments to the clubs. Thinking bout playing the World Cup plays against you.”

In regards to Argentina winning the 2021 Copa America:

“The players were locked up for 53 days without seeing their families, in the middle of a pandemic. It was something crazy with strengthened the group. If the group is united and strong, problems can be overcome. In advertisty, everything flows differently.”

Andrés Iniesta spoke about the Argentina national team, Lionel Messi and Argentine players

Iniesta is regarded as one of the best midfielders not only of his generation but of all time. A winner of two European Cups with Spain and scored the goal which gave Spain their first World Cup, there is nothing the 38 year old has not accomplished.

Now playing in Japan and retired from the national team, Iniesta spent most of his club career with FC Barcelona and playing alongside Lionel Messi. Speaking in an interview with TyC Sports, here is what Iniesta had to say in regards to the Argentina national team:

“Argentina are one of the favorites for the World Cup. They have a great team with experience, young players, they are in good form. If Leo is there, of course they are one of the favorites.”

In regards to Lionel Messi:

“I have no doubt that Messi is the number one in the history of football. I haven’t seen anyone do the things that he does.”

He also spoke about Pablo Aimar:

“I saw him play when he was in Spain. For those of us who watch football, it was always special to see him play.”

Regarding Roman Riquelme:

“We exchanged a few messages with Riquelme and we have stayed in contact. I would like for him to invite me to La Bombonera. The atmosphere is spectacular.”

Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag commented on Alejandro Garnacho winning Player of the Match.

Erik ten Hag started Alejandro Garnacho for the club in their 3-0 win vs. Sheriff in the Europa League and the 18 year old repaid him. Garnacho was named as the Player of the Match in the win.

The Manchester United coach spoke to the media after the win. Here is what he had to say:

I think it was a good performance from him. He did what I expected him to do,” Ten Hag said afterwards.

“In the last weeks, he had a better attitude, more resilience, more determination and what you see is he is a talent to deal with the ball in tight areas, to run behind and especially also his tempo dribbles – he can take players on and that’s a good capability in his football.

“He deserved his chance, but there is still a lot of room for improvement, especially in the defending part, in the pressing part, in the counter press, in the defence transition.

“But you can see, in tight areas, he can find solutions.”

Garnacho has won his first Player of the Match award for Manchester United in their 3-0 win vs. Sheriff. The Argentine started the game for Erik ten Hag’s team and the 18 year old stole the show.
