Nicolás González is out for 15 days for Fiorentina.

González was substituted out for Fiorentina in their last league game due to an injury and test results have shown he will be out for two weeks. According to Gastón Edul, González does not have a rupture and will be out for approximately 15 days.

The 24 year old is part of Argentina’s preliminary list of players for the 2022 World Cup.

Alexis Mac Allister has renewed with Brighton until June 2025.

Mac Allister will be remaining at Brighton for another three years. The club announced on Monday that the Argentine has signed an extension with them, keeping him at the club for what would be six years.

The 23 year old joined them back in 2019 from Argentinos Juniors where he would spend a year on loan at Argentinos Juniors and at Boca Juniors. He is part of Argentina’s preliminary list of players for the 2022 World Cup.

The Champions League continues on Tuesday with still a lot to play for with two games remaining.

Lionel Messi is back in the Champions League for PSG as they play Maccabi Haifa. They are joint top of the group with Benfica.

Nicolás Otamendi and Enzo Fernández and Benfica play against Juventus who are without Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes. Juventus will have Matías Soulé available for them.

Marcos Acuña, Gonzalo Montiel, Erik Lamela and Papu Gómez will want to win their first game in the Champions League against last place Copenhagen. Erik Lamela has been in great form for Sevilla, scoring twice in their last two games.

Julián Álvarez and Manchester City are away against Borussia Dormtund. City presently top their group.

Nicolás Capaldo and RB Salzburg can top their group with a win against Chelsea. Capaldo has been out of the team for RB Salzburg for their last three league games due to a knee injury.

Alexandro Bernabei and Celtic are in last place and they play Shakhtar Donetsk. Celtic are all but mathematically eliminated as they are last place in their group with one point. Here are the games involving Argentine players in the Champions League on Tuesday:

Nicolás González felt pain in his hamstring and will undergo an MRI on Monday.

González was substituted out early for Fiorentina in their 4-3 loss vs. Inter. According to Gastón Edul, an MRI will be done on Monday to derermine the severity of the injury.

If it’s a normal muscle injury, González will have enough time to recover for Argentina and be available for the World Cup.

Erik Lamela scored for Sevilla in their 3-1 loss vs. Real Madrid.

Lamela has made it two goals in his last two games for Sevilla as he had scored to draw Sevilla level.

Gonzalo Montiel started the game for Sevilla and he played a through ball into Lamela who’s effort from a difficult angle got the better of Courtois.
