Tagliafico scored for Ajax in what was most likely his last home match for the club. The defender is set to leave the club but is doing it in winning fashion.

The Argentine scored for Ajax as he gave them the 1-0 lead. It was a pass into the penalty area as Tagliafico would shoot with his left foot and score.

Lautaro Martínez and Joaquín Correa win Coppa Italia with Inter

Lautaro Martínez and Joaquín Correa both played for Inter as they won 4-2 vs. Juventus to win the Coppa Italia.

Martínez started for Inter as he won his first Coppa Italia trophy. It was a match which was 2-2 as it went to extra time and Inter scored twice to win the trophy.

Joaquín Correa was substituted on as he won his second Coppa Italy trophy. Paulo Dybala started for Juventus but was substituted out.

Rodrigo De Paul scored for Atletico Madrid in their 2-0 win vs. Elche.

De Paul scored his second goal of the season for Atletico Madrid, his first since March. With Atletico leading 1-0, Antoine Griezmann played a pass in to De Paul who scored from close range.

With De Paul’s goal and Atletico’s win, Diego Simeone’s team have no qualified for next season’s Champions League.

Verona are set to use the buy option on Gio Simeone from Cagliari but could end up re-selling the player.

Gio Simeone is presently the fourth high scorer in Serie A this season. The Argentina has 16 goals in 34 games, with the goals coming in nine separate matches.

Simeone could be leaving Cagliari according to reports. Per César Luis Merlo, Verona could buy Simeone but sell him to another club as there are other teams interested in the Argentine.

The Argentina vs. Brazil friendly match in Australia hsa been cancelled as an announcement has been made.

While the Brazilian FA had previously confirmed the match, the Argentina FA had not yet confirmed it. On Wednesday, it was Juninho Paulista, the sports coordinator of the Brazil national team which announced that the match on June 11 in Australia at the MCG has been cancelled.

It was also announced earlier this week by FIFA that both teams would have to replay their World Cup qualifying match in September. As we reported, the AFA will appeal to the court of arbitration for sports as they do not want to play the match.
