Juan Foyth scored for Villarreal in their 5-1 win vs. Rayo Vallecano.

Foyth continues his solid season. After reaching the semi finals of the Champions League this seaon, Foyth continues to impress.

With the match at 1-1, a cross was sent into the penalty area and the Argentine with a header as the ball hit the crossbar and went in to give Villarreal the 2-1 lead.

Cristian Romero is out with a knock and missed the North London derby for Tottenham Hotspur.

Romero was left out of the team for Tottenham’s match against Arsenal. Per a report by The Athletic, he received a knock to the hip during Tottenham’s match against Liverpool.

Tottenham would go on to win the match 3-0 without the defender. No initial reports out on the severity of Romero’s injury.

Argentina U20 coached by Javier Mascherano win 2-1 vs. Peru, Santiago Castro scores

The Argentina U20 team coached by Javier Mascherano won 2-1 vs. Peru with Santiago Castro scoring both goals.

Santiago Castro helped Mascherano make it two wins for his Argentina U20 team. In a match played in Ezeiza, Mascherano’s team prepared for the Maurice Revello tournamet which begins later this month.

Alejandro Garnacho scores twice in FA Cup final win, named Manchester United Young POTY

Alejandro Garnacho scored twice for Manchester United in their FA Cup final win while also being named as the Manchester United Youth Player of the Year.

Garnacho has had a break out season. He has been selected for the Argentina national team, played for the Argentina U20 team, named the Manchester United Youth Player of the Year and also scored twice in the Youth FA Cup final.

The 17 year old scored twice against Nottingham Forest in the final. The first was a penalty with the second being a deflected shot on goal.

He would celebrate with the Argentina flag both on the pitch and in the dressing room!

Lisandro Martínez named Ajax Player of the Year

Lisandro Martínez has been named the Ajax Player of the Year.

Martínez is out for the rest of the season but he has done enough to win the Player of the Year award for Ajax. The Argentine played 24 league matches for Ajax, scoring once.

In the Champions League, the 24 year old played all eight matches while playing four league cup matches. Ajax tweeted out that Lisandro had won the award after their 5-0 win where Nicolás Tagliafico scored.
